the lies around pregnancy - that it's inherently safe, that it doesn't do you permanent damage, that it's only extremely rare for people to die of pregnancy complications, etc like

all of these are lies constructed so that more people will get pregnant w/o knowing all that

there needs to be more talk about the impact of miscarriages and how common they are, how different abortion processes are and how accessible they are

but also like. talking about how pregnancy fucks your body up should not be taboo

this is a process that permanently changes most people's bodies, and that's even if the pregnancy doesn't do them like. severe illness or injury

When I was pregnant I was in a million forums for pregnant people because (cough adhd hyperfixation) and I had something called SPD (Symphysis pubis dysfunction) (not Sensory Processing Disorder though I also have that) which is where your pubic bones separate early (more or less) because they get all loosey goosey as your body gets ready to crank that baby out.

Except my pubic bone got confused and got misaligned at like 3 months pregnant. I could barely walk. I couldn't roll over in bed. Doing something that required me to shift my weight from one foot to another like opening a door knob was like an excruciatingly painful knife being stabbed into my pubic bone, I can't express how intense and blinding it was.

So I am in one million baby forums like "am I dying what is happening why is there a knife in my pubic bone" and all these people are like "I have that too! my doctor says it's normal and not to worry because it doesn't hurt the baby. I just deal with it by laying in bed for months in excruciating pain and think about how lucky I am to be having a little miracle growing in my body."

So lol nope. I went to my midwife and they are like, "Oh squeeze a can between your knees look up a physical therapy youtube on SPD" and I did that can-squeeze thing and it CURED THE PROBLEM in ONE DAY. I had been SUFFERING, y'all, it felt miraculous.

And I was so full of rage (flames, flames on the side of my face) that people are being told "Oh, it's NORMAL just deal with it" "It doesn't hurt the baby." Like, look, yes it's NORMAL but it's 100% treatable!!! SPD (again, not Sensory processing disorder) affects 1 in 5 pregnant people.

I was lucky to have amazing midwives (need a gender neutral term for that profession, but they see pregnant men and women)(side note highly recommend midwives if you are gender nonconfirming/a man/etc) and I have DOZENS of examples of shit like this.

Some people in moderate car crashes are very lucky, and walk away with zero injury. Some are very unlucky, and die. But most people fall into the third category, where they'll be injured at the time, then heal, and then for the rest of their life they have some minor and liveable complication from the injury. Like a knee that lets you know when the rain is coming, or a back that doesn't like seats without lumbar support, or a shoulder that never quite gets its full range of motion back.

Look, I understand that this is Stanley Pines he's going against. I am aware he is currently going against the reigning tumblr sexyman.

but consider:

Bobby is a very kind and loving soul, and he is also very friend-shaped.

Bobby is not, however, afraid to stand up for his girls. He is a girl dad and you cannot convince me otherwise. He already beat tumblr's darling capitalist twink. He is actively shifting the definition of the tumblr sexyman by toppling longstanding previous tumblr sexymen. He has done it once and he can do it again.

He is also redefining the definition of a tumblr sexyman by purely getting this far at all. Him getting as far as he has is proof that the tumblr sexyman can come in all shapes, races, outlooks on life, backgrounds, etc.

He's going against the grain of a notoriously exploitative industry and actually cherishing the people he is managing; he is making sure they're okay in multiple different ways, tries to cheer them up, supports their endeavors even when he isn't entirely sure what's going on. That is a supportive man and one who isn't afraid to care for others, and that's sexy to me

He's a short king. As a fellow short guy this alone would have gotten my support even if I hadn't watched the movie multiple times.

He is not afraid of having whimsy.

Did I mention he unconditionally loves and supports his girls?

Also, just to put it out there. I love Stan and I love Gravity Falls. He is in fact my second favorite Gravity Falls character only behind Dipper, and I agree that Stan is iconic as all hell. However, I think that it's only fair that you shouldn't have a reigning champion come back to the tumblr sexyman tournament the year after their win. We need to give other characters a chance. (And yes. I would say this even if he wasn't going against Bobby.)

So, for both his own character and the fact that this is simply an unfair matchup whatever way you look at it, you should vote Bobby for tumblr sexyman 2026

There is nothing sexier than a compassion-based revolutionary, so allow me to tell you just how sexy The Boy Saviour really is:

While every other revolutionary in Zaun cares about winning against Piltsover no matter what, Ekko actually cares about the people of Zaun, which is why his focus is on community organising. Yeah, he'll kick some ass when he needs to and look damn good while doing it, but he found a tree growing in the under-city despite all odds, built an entire sanctuary around it, and he refuses to turn anyone away because he has so much compassion in his heart 🥹

2. Ekko has compassion for his enemies while also not letting that cloud his judgement (except for one time against Jinx but the Timebomb shippers would argue that makes him sexier) which is such a rare but important trait to have as a revolutionary. He's someone who understands the necessity of violence, but he doesn't revel in it. He may chew out his oppressors on the Piltsover Council, but his only demand is that they give his people the rights and respect they deserve, because then he wouldn't have to fight against other less compassionate "revolutionaries" who are taking advantage of the people's desperation.

3. Ekko may be tough as nails to outsiders, but under the surface, he is a tender-hearted young man who was forced to grow up way too fast. His father figure was murdered and his crush was groomed to become a murderer by the very man who killed him. Ekko lost his whole found family in the course of a few days, and despite all that, Ekko never grew up to be resentful or give into despair. Instead, he made it his goal to fight like hell for a better future, no matter the cost to himself, so no other child would have to go through what he did or carry the same weight as he does.

4. Ekko was so right about everything that in Season 2 the writers had to send him to another dimension so he wouldn't expose all the flaws in his centrist messaging. Did you read that? If being a compassion-based revolutionary is the sexiest thing ever, then that means Ekko was sexy enough to scare the writers of Arcane, and the show was made actively worse for it. If they embraced Ekko's correctness and sexiness, we could've had an amazing Season 2.

5. Following on from him being sent to another dimension, this was one where he was given the peaceful life he was denied: his adopted father is still alive, his crush was never taken in by a drug lord, and Ekko could have spent the rest of his days in that peaceful reality, but he still chooses to go back to the world that is cold and hard and cruel. Why? Because the people in his reality still needed him! (And because he didn't want to steal this life from the Ekko of this peaceful reality.) That is so profoundly selfless, and so utterly sexy of him.

Ekko has so much love in his heart for everyone and everything. He won't burn the world down for you, but he will change it for the better so you can finally live in peace. It is far, far easier to destroy the world than change it, which makes it the undeniably sexiest choice a man can make for you. And that is why...
