Please be mindful that i didn't draw any chainmail underneath, first bc im lazy, but every armor from XV century had some : over the gambeson, under the plate, fully or on located areas. They also used pants gambesons.

Also this is just one example, XVth had so much armor variations for any of the parts above

"To the artist who did my portrait," she is shown a painting of a woman done by the man's teacher, who he still looks up to now that he is well established himself.

"To the Royal Knight," she is surprised but not displeased to see the castle's entire guard force in the middle of doing drills.

The one hundredth time she asks the mirror, and it asks her "to whom?" she once again says, "To me." And she does the same the one hundred and second, and again and again and again.

Did you know that May is BPD awareness month? You know so now!

I said this in my post about Biploar, but a lot of people seem to think BPD and Biploar are the same thing! They are in fact very different! Feel free to go check out my Bipolar post!

What does BPD stand for?

It stands for Borderline Personality Disorder!

If I get anything wrong, I do sincerely apologize, I don't personally have this, I'm just here to spread awareness!

(I'm pretty sure I don't at least, sometimes I do question admittedly)

A lot of people also think people who have BPD are automatically bad people... which is just untrue! The actions of few do not mean that entire group of people are bad! Which goes for a lot of different things.

But also, using your diagnosis or mental health as an excuse to be a bad person is wrong as well.

What exactly is BPD?

Well, it's a complex mental disorder, which is usually caused by having an unstable or traumatic childhood and usually develops more in early adulthood, obviously not everybody gets diagnosed instantly, and undiagnosed people are valid!

People who have BPD will experience patterns of being very instable, like their moods, self-image and relationships.

Like I've said, people who have BPD are not bad people! They require patience and understanding!

What does Favourite Person mean when it comes to BPD?

An "FP" is somebody that a person who has BPD is emotionally anchored to, and is able to help out the person with their mood or self-image!

Sometimes this person can be a partner, a friend or even a family member!

An FP is somebody who will offer comfort and reassurance to the BPD haver, and will be patient with them when they are having any moodswings or lashing out in anyway.

I'm pretty sure an FP isn't strictly connected with BPD, but it is well known when it comes to it! Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

What are the BPD subtypes?

Some doctors don't believe in these subtypes, so they won't really specifically diagnose people with these terms... but I will share them anyways since I believe they are valid!

There is Impulsive BPD, Discouraged BPD, Self-Destructive BPD and Petulant BPD!

Let's start with Impulsive BPD!

This subtype usually means the person has difficulty with self-control, and can act out, sometimes in dangerous ways and not really think about what their actions will do, and they are usually very prone to self-harm, of course people who have BPD in general are prone to it.

They may also engage in seeking any thrills, changing their minds out if nowhere, feeling empty, overspending, will do high-risk things, etc

Discouraged BPD

Otherwise known as 'Quiet BPD'

People who have Discouraged BPD are often very avoidant but very dependent people, likely with heavy abandonment issues and will actively avoid conflict and will do anything to avoid it.

This is also more directed inwardly than outwardly, will tend to blame themselves more for everything, suppress their feelings a lot, will experience moodswings nobody else sees, and experience guilt for feeling the way they do, and they probably have a bit of a difficult time expressing their needs

Self-Destructive BPD

These people hold a lot of bitterness towards themselves and self-hatred, these people are usually at higher risk to suicide because of this.

Much like Impulsive BPD, they will also engage in high-risk activities, and will tend to actively self-sabotage their own happiness and have an extremely unstable self-image and look for comfort and reassurance from others a lot, some might even engage in substance abuse just to stop feeling empty, and these people will have deep rooted low self-worth.

Petulant BPD

These people are a little more unpredictable, and will usually be a little more passive aggressive, and they also have a need to feel in control of everything.

They may have more of a pessimistic attitude, and might be demanding and have resentment toward others, and will likely get jealous easily and will be easily insulted by things, as well as easily irritated by things, and probably tend to trust people less. Though this will also make them feel guilty, and worthless.

Again note, this is just what I've gathered from my own research!

Today i felt like posting about age regression and pet regression!

Now, a lot of people get these terms confused with something that it's not, like things that are NSFW, but that just isn't true now, is it? Age regression and Pet regression are completely SFW!

And i will dicuss terms like age dreaming and such another day :)

Now, first we will discuss age regression!

What IS age regression?

Well, age regression is when somebody reverts to a state of mind where they are much younger!

This can be as a coping machanism, and can be involuntary and voluntary, to deal with stress, PTSD, depression, and other such things! Sometimes if someone is experiencing a lot of overwhelming emotions, it can cause them to regress, this is just an example though!

Regressing provides a safe space for someone and allows for someone to take a short break from mental health issues or any other issues. It should not be veiwed at NSFW ever.

When someone it age regressed, they may act younger emotionally, socially and/or behaviorly, they may prefer activities somebody younger would prefer, but sometimes age regressors don't mind big kid stuff like horror for example!

Not all age regressors are into regular kiddie stuff, and that is valid!

Some age regressors will have caregivers, caregivers are people who the regressor is comfortable with taking care of them while they are in this space, some age regressors don't have or need caregivers though! And soemtimes age regressors will have something close to babysitters, like close friends that aren't their caregiver but can still look after them while they are regressed!

Now, we'll discuss pet regression.

Pet regression is similar to age regresion, but obviously isn't the exact same.

Instead of regressing to a younger stage of mind, you regress to the mindset space of an animal.

This can range to any type of animal! From house-hold pets, to wild or mythical animals!

This is different from being an alterhuman, some people may get confused, but they are not the same. Though, alterhumans may identify with this as well!

When somebody is pet regressing, they will take on the behaviour of said creature, many pet regressors will have gear like pet toys, collars, etc!

Of course, not everybody can afford gear like this, or isn't in a safe place to own it, so not everybody will have it, but they are still valid!

And the same goes for age regression, people may own things like sippy cups, pacifiers depending on their regression age, and such things like that!

Pet regressors will also have caregivers to help take care of them, just like age regressors, but not all of them have one or want one!

Let's talk about pure and impure regression!

Pure regression, this is when somebody involuntarily or voluntarily regresses, this is normally a happy and fun exprience to escape issues and cope for a little while!

It's possible to get upset during pure regression but it's not impure at all, but it is possible for pure regression to become impure from stress or due to a trigger!

Impure regression, it's typically when somebody's brain involuntarily regresses as a response to extreme stress, thinking about a traumatic event or severe mental health issues, this is a response to keep yourself safe a d let you feel these emotions in a safe way.

Impure regression is involuntary, you can't control when you have impure regression, this can cause a lot distress for the regressor, so it's best to interact with them with care if they are having impure regression.

Before I end this rant off, I will discuss a little more about caregivers for regressors!

Caregivers usually look after regressors, yes, but they also sometimes set rules for the regressor since they are in a younger mindset or in an animal mindset!

They'll make rules, sometimes like early bedtimes, this is just an example though!

They'll spend time with their regressors when they are regressed, if they are together in-person, they might watch kid cartoons together, go for a walk, go to the park, things like that!

Also just examples, like I've said, all regressors are different!

If they aren't together in-person, the cargiver will probably spend time looking for regression activities the regressor can do, and spend time in-call watching stuff with them, or whatever the regressor prefers.

People on here and other places make many activities specifically for age and pet regressors! They are actually really fun, though this is just my opinion!

Did you know that March 30th is Bipolar day?

Well, now you know!

Today, I'll tell you a little bit about what Bipolar is! Keep in mind, I am not bipolar, this is just some info that I know of :)

Bipolar is on the neurodivergent umbrella, a lot of people don't realize being neurodivergent is more than just Autism!

What IS Bipolar exactly?

Well, bipolar is a condition that will cause a person to go through cycles of depression and elevated moods!

They can go through depressive episodes and manic episodes due to this, and some will go through extreme mood-swings that can affect daily life.

What is a manic and depressive episode?

The best way I could explain a manic episode without not knowing myself... a manic episode is when the person will feel excessively up or happy, or irritable and will have an increase in activity levels compared to how they usually might be!

Of course, manic episodes aren't exclusive to being bipolar, same with having a depressive episode!

A depressive episode is basically the opposite of a manic episode!

The person will feel very sad, depressed obviously, maybe hopeless and they will be very inactive and will find themself unable to function, though everybody experiences these episodes different of course.

And then there are times where the bipolar person will just simply be in a neutral state, where they are able to function like usual!

A lot of people mistake bipolar for being a personality disorder or mistake it for BPD, but it is neither, bipolar is it's own thing!

The causes of being Bipolar as far as most people are aware is mostly genetics, and that's as far as I know as well.

What does EDS stand for?

Ehlers Danlos Syndrome!

What is that?

Well, EDS is a disibility where a group of disorders affects connective tissues that supports your skin, bones, and other things in your body!

This will often make your joints loose and flexible, but it is different for everybody, for some these symptoms can be life threatening unfortunately.

A lot of people who have EDS are often hypermobile as well, and will experience a lot of joint pain and experience chronic fatigue or pain, their skin may bruise easily, and might experience dizziness and increased heartrate after standing up, those are just a few symptoms of course!

(I myself think I might have it, I hope I can get assessed at some point!)

And in some cases, EDS can go hand in hand with Autism, obviously not for everybody but Autistic people are more likely to have it, which makes EDS hereditary as well!

EDS is a valid disability, there is no such thing as being disabled enough for help, you are valid! Whether you use mobility aids or not! Whether you are diagnosed or not!

Lemme just preface this with saying that I am a writer. I have been writing for most of my life. I have taken actual classes about writing and about what fiction can offer you, me, and people as a whole. I have won an award for something that I wrote. I know and love fiction, be it in written form, graphic novels, or film. It is all so good and complex and it’s something I am passionate about. That said, let’s get into this.

A good majority of the discourse that goes on in most of the fandoms I’m in stem from the idea that violence and forbidden sexual acts in fiction will encourage those actions in reality. It is important to know, firstly, that the only time this happens is when a person is immature enough or not mentally healthy enough to distinguish reality from fiction. Growing up, my parents would often stop horror movies (back when I first started watching them) to ask me questions. To be fair, they were pretty shitty people, but in this one aspect, they were so good about making sure I knew this difference. “You know this is just a movie, right? None of the stuff on the tv is real.” They’d assure before continuing the film.

It’s not real.

Now, half of the stuff I read or watched back then was nowhere near pushing boundaries or making me think critically about society or whatever. However, I knew that what I watched wasn’t real. It was images on a screen. If I don’t like what I’m seeing, I can walk away. It doesn’t have to affect me, personally,  unless I let it.

Now, lets circle back. School. College. I took a writing class that used this book:

Granted, it was a screenwriting class and most of the chapters were about various script formats, but the beginning chapters focused on why we write and why we make the stories we do.

It had a section in it describing how human needs and desires are met through fiction. It detailed those needs in a list. This list:

Please draw your attention to the ones on the list that say that fictions helps people to:

Be purged of unpleasant emotions

To have vicarious but controlled emotional experiences

To confront, in a controlled situation, the horrible and terrible

To explore taboo subjects without guilt

Just because you personal don’t need various forms of ‘taboo’ media, doesn’t mean that others don’t. Media, in all of its forms, is a way for people to explore things safely. It’s an outlet that doesn’t harm anyone and it offers the creator and viewer/reader a safe way of exploring the complexities of situations (or in some cases relationships) that these people do not want to be involved in irl. Because we can distinguish reality from fiction. Because none of us are going out killing people or getting into abusive relationships or fucking our sibling.

While being critical of the media we consume is important and it is vital to dissect the whys of the media being created, there is a line between creating open discussion about these taboos, about the society and personal experiences that makes one need these outlets, and verbally abusing and harassing strangers.

If you want to create a dialogue about media or a ship you don’t agree with, fine. Talk about it. Dissect it. Really dig deep into the human condition and the psychology behind these outlets, but don’t shame people for them to the point of telling them to kill themselves or telling them they are human garbage or what the fuck ever.
