Should have had this done for Christmas but managed it before the new year. Crocheting with multi stranded cotton is tricky for left-handed me, I tend to untwist it. 😆
if you fuckers do the skeleton war shit again this year we’re deleting the website for real
One, Two, Three, Four, I declare a Skelly war!!!!!!
Trying to prove a point to my transphobic parents
Reblog if trans men are REAL, VALID AND HANDSOME MEN, NO MATTER HOW THEY CHOOSE TO PASS
Reblog if trans women are REAL, VALID, AND BEAUTIFUL WOMEN, NO MATTER HOW THEY CHOOSE TO PASS
And finally, because it's a part of my argument for this point, and also because they are,
Reblog if nonbinary and genderqueer people in general, are REAL, VALID, AND GORGEOUS PEOPLE, NO MATTER HOW THEY PASS

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
You might not want to hear this but people with anger issues and/or violent impulses need social accommodations. And no by accommodation I don't mean walking on eggshells around them, actual accommodations for people with these issues comes down to giving them a space away from what's triggering them to process their emotions and calm themselves down same as what kind of accommodations people who get sensory overload or just any kind of overwhelmed. There is no moral value to having anger issues or violent impulses, people with them are deserving of accommodation the same as everyone else.
I had severe anger issues growing up, and the only way I was ever taught to deal with them was deep breathing. For some reason, deep breathing just triggers me to get angrier. But it's the only coping skill I ever got taught for it. Here's a few better ones.
Go and exercise. Get all of that energy out and away from the people you love.
Get a hang of when you're winding up to a rage and learn to tell people that you need to step away. I will warn you that the first time that someone refuses to let you go once you learn this skill will spook the hell out of you if you don't have a backup skill, so figure out ahead of time what you're gonna do if they won't let you leave.
Learn to set boundaries. One of the best things I ever did for my anger issues was tell people that I can't deal with people stealing food off my plate. Second best was when I'm mad, telling people not to touch me. I spook easily when I'm already angry.
Get a pack of pencils and if nothing is working, break one. Sometimes you really do need to break something in order to feel better, and pencils are cheap.
Don't cook with a knife when you're mad. If you get too much adrenaline, the knife can slip and hurt you.
If you have anger issues that pop up without any seeming reason and frighten you, I would strongly recommend going over the situation and over your mental health. If there's anything consistent with a mental health condition or with something particular happening to trigger it, seek to eliminate the trigger or treat the issue. Depression, anxiety, trauma, you name it, it can probably present as anger issues under the right circumstances.
Some quick notes for people without anger issues that want to help someone who has anger issues:
Fear transmutes into anger really, really well if someone's fear response is "fight". One of my guesses for why so many men have anger issues is that we're told we're not men if we have any other response to fear. However, this issue is far from exclusive to men.
Don't box people in when you're arguing with them or soothing them. If someone is backed up against a wall and upset, then getting closer to them without permission is a bad call for your safety and for their soothing, because that removes the ability to get away from you. Ask before getting close. This goes double if someone is injured or otherwise vulnerable.
Teaching angry people that are distressed about being angry the pencil trick on the spot is really easy and works more often than you can think.
Respect people's requests and boundaries. A lot of people think that some of the boundaries I set up are silly or that once we're pals, they can ignore them. No, because a lot of my boundaries are related to trauma, and crossing them will trigger me and bring up my anger.
All of this goes for children with anger issues as well. I was a child with anger issues, and a lot of disrespect for my boundaries and needs was because my anger was dismissed because I was a child. Respect children's anger.
Walking on eggshells is not and will never be a good way to treat anger issues. Recognizing that people with anger issues deserve to have their boundaries respected and to be treated like human beings is.
An end note: Anger issues are not the same thing as being abusive, because emotions are not abusive. Someone with anger issues can become abusive if they take them out on people, but so can someone with suicidal thoughts who takes them out on people. The issue is targeting another person in order to feel better, not having a mental health issue.
An end note for people with anger issues: It really can get better. You can find coping skills and perhaps meds that help cool you down and settle you. You can find people that will accept that doing that one weird thing spooks the fuck out of you, and will let you leave if you're scaring yourself. You can gain control of yourself without shutting down emotionally. It's achievable.

Everyone I've met below 35: I work three jobs to pay my half of the rent in the shitty apartment I share with my cousin, it's 200 degrees in the summer and in the winter the ground level is under water. 3 billionaires control my country and everyone in it. I lost my sense of taste when I got covid at work and nothing I do matters. Today a customer threw her iced coffee in my face and my manager said it was my fault. I've never been on a vacation and ill never afford retirement. I bought a $3 box of oreos today and cried about it. My country is on fire. Six children died in a school shooting today. Nazis are back
which one of u was going to tell me that tea tastes different if u put it in hot water?
y- you were putting it in cold water?????
Radish. Answer the question radish.
yeah??? i thought for like. 5 years that ppl just put it in hot water 2 speed up the tea-ification process didn’t realize there was an actual reason
You dont have the patience to microwave water for 3 minutes???
[ID: Tags reading “u think i have the patience to boil water wtf ?????” /End ID]
why are you. putting it in the microwave to boil it
Do you think I have the patience to boil water on the stove
Its takes less than a minute
Bestie is ur stovetop powered by the fucking sun
How long does it take you to boil a cup of water on the stove
Like seven minutes
Just stick the mug on top of the stove on medium heat n it boils in like two minutes… less than that is u use a saucepan…
Crying you’re putting the whole mug on the stove ???? On medium heat???? Ur stove is enchanted
Every single person in this post is a fucking lunatic
Yet another post that reads like four shakespeare characters who come out in the middle of the play to talk about something completely unrelated for comic relief
(Enter RADISHN’T, MOTHMAN MISATO, BOIMG FROG and CATS'N RAINCOATS, stage left. They are having a HEATED DISCUSSION.)
RADISHN’T: Prithee, which one of you had planned to tell
Of diff'rent flavours gained by simple act
Of brewing tea with water hot, not cold?
MOTHMAN: Egad! you poured the water cold? Wherefore?!
FROG: An answer from you, Radish, I must beg.
RADISHN’T: Indeed I did, dear friends - why does this shock?
Without the guide of others I assumed
That heat was merely added for the sake
Of expediting this solution’s brewing!
Half a decade I have spent, or more,
Not questioning this worldview I had made.
In fact, I am myself a bit surprised
That you might think that I, your dearest friend,
Might have a patience of sufficient stock
To wait until a pot of water boils.
FROG: Three minutes overtaxes patience so?
The microwave will beep when it is done!
CATS'N: My friend, this answer vexes me the more!
Can it be true that thou dost boil by nuke?!
FROG: Are you in turn, my friend, so shocked to know
That I have not the patience, like our Root,
To boil upon the stove our favour’d drink?
CATS'N: It takes less than a minute!
FROG: On what plate?
Perhaps your dinner cooks atop the sun?
CATS'N: How long can take your stove to fill the task
Of boiling but a single cup alone?
FROG: In minutes?
CATS'N: Yes!
FROG: I counted seven, once.
CATS'N: Perhaps you ought to have your timepiece checked!
If on a middle heat you place the cup
You soon will have the scalding drink you crave.
Two minutes, in a mug upon the plate
Or even less, if you should have a pot.
FROG: You cause me tears - is this how thou dost live?
You place upon the iron stove a mug?
A mug, ceramic, filled with water cold?
How do these flames, though medium in height,
Not shatter like a glass this fragile thing?
Surely, then, your kitchen is bewitched
With magicks far beyond the mortal ken!
(The FOUR realise they have wandered into the THRONE ROOM. The ROYAL COURT watches with fascination.)
KING: Ev'ry single person in this group must be a fucking lunatic, it seems.

DI medical conference note. ok let me try to explain this
covid-19 is thought to be a stress test on a body. did you have a medical condition you never knew about? well, covid-19 makes damn sure you know about it! did you have an adequately treated medical condition? now you do not! was your mood disorder manageable? surprise! genetic condition that was not supposed to affect you for another decade or two? knock knock, covid-19 is at your door! this is part of why so many medical conditions are associated with covid-19.
in addition to worsening pre-existing conditions, there are a lot of other things being found from covid-19. coronaviruses as a category tend to cause a lot of damage. lot of (non-diagnostic) biomarkers being found. platelet damage. lot of blood clots. lot of brain damage. significantly reduced blood flow in the brain. loss of brain matter. 30% of covid-19 survivors get long covid. most of that involves autonomic nervous system dysfunction. the autonomic nervous system involves every other part of the body and the impacts are widespread. previously healthy people are becoming significantly disabled.
covid-19 survivors with mild symptoms have the same chance of developing severe chronic illness in the form of long covid as covid-19 survivors who were hospitalized. severity of symptoms is not related to chance of long term disability. long covid is not curable and neither are the bulk of post-viral chronic illnesses that tag along. athletes are becoming bedbound.
covid-19 is not a mild disease and vaccines do not prevent its long term effects. one of the presenters today used to specialize in dementia patients and swapped over to working with covid-19 because of how widespread brain damage is from covid-19.
covid-19 is the largest mass disabling event in history.
Sick sick sick of possibility of being fucking recorded every waking second by tiktok obsessed quasi celebs. Video titled something like "Caught him thinking he's the main character" but it was just a kid wearing headphones, looking out the bus window. Of course it was posted without his knowledge. Stop recording strangers and everything you see, nobody gives a shit and not everyone is happy to be on tiktok or youtube because of a moron with no braincells and an account. What could be a forgettable awkward moment is now permanently there for the victim of lackabrainis infested idiot to get anxious about forever.
Okay, this seems like a relevant thing to share today: I've been in this position. Back in college while on that student lifestyle, I somehow ended up with a pretty bad iron deficiency. How bad? I was not only sleeping too much, I was falling asleep everywhere -- in class, in the library, in cafes five minutes after drinking coffee. It was terrible. Anyway, during a class I enjoyed, I was sat at a table with a few classmates, and I started falling asleep while taking notes; nodding off, dropping my pen, startling awake and falling asleep again, until my head was on the table. No one seemed to mind, we were all going through it I guess, and my lecturer was nice enough not to make a big deal out of it.
Cut to the next day and I was in the Students Union, when a friend came up to me and told me how funny that video was of me falling asleep in class was. What? I asked her about it, what did she mean, who made the video, and she realised I literally had no clue about it. Kindly, she told me who to talk to and I thanked her. I was already upset, but I knew it wasn't the messenger's fault. So, I took to Facebook and messaged the girl who made the video -- a girl on my table in the class from before. I asked her about it, and she admitted it right away -- she took the video on her phone during class and posted it to her snapchat. That's how the other girl saw it, not to mention countless others.
Sorting this out was an absolute toil. I felt betrayed and violated that someone would do that while I was obviously not in a position to have any say about it. I lost friendships with the people who took the girl's side, as if it was no big deal or "funny". I had to tell the lecturer about it, because let's face it, that's a shit thing to allow to happen during class itself, the department moved to be more alert and proactive about restricting phone use in class, and all that girl had to do was give a half-hearted apology. The next semester, she was still openly using her phone in another class we had.
For a long time, I couldn't trust anyone who held their phone up around me, as if to take photos or video. It would make me so anxious and put me on edge. I never did speak to the people who cosigned her behaviour, who acted like it wasn't their problem that their bff video-recorded a person in class over their health condition without their consent.
I did eventually grow out of my anxiety around phones, and I resisted the urge to break that girl's phone, but, I will absolutely bring back that energy if I see someone record a stranger in public without their consent. Take it from someone who's been that target -- if you think it's okay, you deserve to get your shit wrecked.
I just want to add, in case anyone reads this and isn't sure -- yes, it is absolutely fine to reblog this, and in fact I encourage you to. If testimony from a former target of this behaviour is the one thing that makes it click for anyone thinking of doing it, if it makes them reconsider before potentially ruining a stranger's life, then my experience will be worth it for me.
Don't record strangers and put that shit on the Internet or social media without their consent.
Just a reminder my blog is trans inclusive. It’s bi inclusive. It is pan inclusive. It is intersex inclusive. It is ace/asexual inclusive. It is aro/aromantic inclusive. It is queer inclusive.
I don’t support terfs or exclusionists.
If you came here looking for an ally in your bigotry you came to the wrong blog. Go away. You are not welcome here.
sometimes a song overall is mediocre but theres like one brief portion of it that u wish you could steal with the photoshop eyedropper tool and expand into a full song of its own
I didn’t realize other people felt this specific mood
I get that alot. For me I think it's an Autistic thing, there are just some sounds that are just...*chefs kiss*. Just wanna sample them and listen to them on loop.
I'm autistic, possibly adhd and I have quite bad tinnitus and visual snow.
Sound blankets into mist, a mismatched symphony of hums and squeals, synched with the snow in my eyes. I'm used to it now, i don't always hear what I want or need but that's going to happen.
But silence, the true, deep silence before a brief but ear spliiting tinnitus screech is scary...for I hear my own mind then in those few seconds, things I'd rather not hear...even the snow fumbles its visual chittering...
Then it balances out and upon me ceasing to squint in discomfort I forgot what I heard then in that darkness, to wait again till the next time.
I hope in the end, I don't hear that deep dark silence forever...

Never related to anything more
Really starting to think i have adhd on top of autism...
Just a little vent...
Had someone who i'm certain is undiagnosed NPD laugh at me and tell me i can't possibly be autistic and to stop been silly and to hurry up and get a job...
My autism, though undiagnosed but very obvious, has dictated my whole life, for better or worse and molded me into the person i am today. I was the weird "Gifted and talented" kid, i could never make real friends because i coulden't connect, i got ignored, i got bullied!
I've gained a physical disability which i'm struggling to get identified, i can't get anything diagnosed! I can't work properly at the moment because of it, can't stand for more then a few hours and even then it still hurts to do so, i know i need to get a job, i damn well know...
I'll cry for now then let it go, i won't let this hurt me. She won't get help or nothing for herself so it is what it is.
Just needed to vent, i'll be fine, always am eventually.
As an added thing, i have nothing against people with NPD, i generally have nothing against anyone, just that i feel it's why she is as she is, everyone has gotten used to her, i need to do the same.
