I got a response from YTV earlier this month, it rings the same as the one I got from Disney Channel Canada last month, but still, its something! If we ALL send emails to YTV it'll bring SOME kind of focus to MBAV and could be a way to get a sense of 'closure', that's not an explosive cliffhanger!

Guys, it always starts with one person... I emailed both YTV and Disney Channel Canada and this is the response Disney Channel CAN sent me! It's not much but it's something. EVERYBODY reading this post needs to compose emails to YTV ([email protected]) and Disney Channel Canada ([email protected]) and ask them about more My Babysitter's a Vampire! And you may have to send a 2nd email to both of them after about 5 days. I sent one email and got no reply, so I sent a second email and got immediate response back. Now there is no guarantee that this gets us anything, but its better than doing nothing. And Fresh TV continuously says they need a Canadian broadcaster/network... I don't see why we can't convince YTV/Disney CA ourselves about MBAV. Let's get those emails rolling folks!
I like how the official Young Drunk Punk Twitter page not only cropped the image I posted when I tweeted about Atticus' award nomination (https://twitter.com/AllThingsMBAV/status/690239970779344896), but they got their tweet wrong factually! That picture of Atticus Mitchell is from one of the premiere events in Toronto for the Stonewall movie last year! IDK where Atticus was on Tuesday, but that picture most certainly doesn't depict it truthfully. Ha! (Side note: it's not that I don't like Atticus' moustache, but it makes him look kinda mischievous. If he gets a role as a jewel thief he'll be in luck!)
Yeah, I think we need this. He's been missing in action for too long! (Wonder if they could get Matt to guest star on Young Drunk Punk or Finding Carter... its just wishful thinking on my part)

Now, who else wants MBAV Season 3? I know I do! Christine on the Facebook group said that Vanessa tweet is what she wants, like all of us! If they could only find a broadcaster/network in Canada...

I saw that Julie Giles pretty much broke it down for someone on the FB group on why there is no news on MBAV right now. This sums it up really.
CURRENTLY a third season seems bleak (almost 3 years later, yeah, as much as I'd love the show to come back - the actors/producers/crew probably want to move on [and some have, Atticus & Vanessa - although I'm sure they want/wanted the cliffhanger resolved as well], too much time has elapsed now). And I kinda figured costs would render the show being a webseries moot.Â
However until a Canadian TV broadcaster (or network) decides they want to do anything more w/ MBAV, we likely won't get a 2nd/closure TV film either (which I'd [and everyone else] settle for just for that cliffhanger at the end of the series to be resolved).
In a nutshell; the producers want to do more My Babysitter's a Vampire - they can't because they don't have a network in Canada that wants to air it [yet].
I'm still hopeful something will come in 2015 regarding our beloved show.Â
Hey Canadian folks, watch Atticus Mitchell as Archibald/Andrew Shinky in "Young Drunk Punk" which airs Jan 21st on City TV. This show is set in 1980s set Calgary. This is perfect for a "Throwback Thursday" post huh? As for us in the U.S. & in the UK, unless they post the episodes online (w/o geo-blocking) or someone uploads them somewhere; we'll be waiting before we can see it. Meanwhile, nothing new on the MBAV front. Still waiting [in 2015] on Fresh TV to get SOME NETWORK up there in Canada to do a 2nd/'closure' film for us!
I wholeheartedly and honestly believe in 2015 (this year) - we as a fandom will get SOME kind of closure to our beloved show. I think a 3rd season at this point is probably out of the question. But whether it be a TV movie, a limited series event, or a Netflix/online release movie or WHATEVER; I believe this year, the cliffhanger to "The Date to End All Dates" WILL BE RESOLVED! Can I get a witness?!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, FLEDGLINGS!
I'd just like to wish fans in the MBAV fandom a safe & Merry Christmas! I think we'd all agree a nice Christmas gift for us would be for some Canadian network to give us some closure to the series' finale, but I think soon we need to render that moot at this point as well sadly. What do you all think we should do to get a resolution?
2 Years Off-Air: The Fate of My Babysitter's a Vampire, Still Unsure
Hard to believe but it's true, TODAY/TONIGHT, it will have been two years since the MBAV finale aired on Disney Channel in the U.S (October 5, 2012).
I thought I do something special for today. Plus I haven't been the most active person in the world. Plus IDK if anyone else has seen the particular cast photo above or not, I know I haven't.Â
