Back in October 2014, Kevin Morby released his second solo album, Still Life. Its title seemed steeped in irony, as the record comprises tunes written during 2013, a year he spent on the road with his bands Woods and The Babies and in support of his solo debut record, Harlem River. Morby had also recently transplanted from New York to Los Angeles.
Two weekends ago Morby and his crew came through Bandwidthâs off-site studio, the Wilderness Bureau, and treated us to a short set in front of a trippy installation made by BLK CHVRCH.

PresentingâŚTypefighter live in the WAMU 88.5 studio!
The release of its 2013 single, âMuch,â signaled Typefighterâs transition [from indie-folk band to fist-pumping rock troupe]âloudly. The track was a power-pop zinger, and one of the catchiest rock songs to come out of D.C. all year.
So of course, when the quartet stopped by WAMUâs studios to play two songs from âThe End Of Everything,â âMuchâ was at the top of our request list. They gave us exactly what we wantedâthen followed that great single with a high-energy take on âYou When Youâre Older.â
Both songs were a blast to hear in the studio, and today, we share both with you. Enjoy.
