I love Enon and his relationship with Yuder so much, that I end up think about the inevitability of the curse of immortality falling upon Enon. Enon has lived for about 1000 years, yet we barely know anything about those 1000 years. We don't know how many people he managed to care and love for in that time, or how many people Enon ever tried to tell about his true identity. But based on the reaction Enon had when he told Yuder about his true identity, and how easily Yuder accepted the truth, it seemed as though not many people, or any person at all, ever knew or believed in what he was. That's probably why he's thankful to have Yuder around. Yuder, a person who has gone back into time and Enon, a hybrid mix of spirit and human that was created by Luma 1000 years ago. Both are beings that come from unbelievable sources of legend, where time had muddled what is possible and what isn't. Though Yuder probably isn't the first person Enon let call him brother, he's probably the first person he can truly regard as family, as people who were technically raised by the same person. We don't know if Enon has the same sense of time as humans do, but if Enon ultimately chooses to stay with humanity (and not follow Luma's request) despite the disasters to come, I mourn for his potential loneliness. Even if Yuder were to manage to live out his lifespan, it will come to the point where Enon would have to say goodbye to his younger brother, just like he had to say goodbye to Luma. And that makes me feel sad for him.
