cursed or not

In 2008, Dean stabbed Cas, in a barn.  In 2015, in a different barn, Dean handed Cas another knife. 

like, he never got to hold them when they were so small and tiny and their eyes were closed.  he never got to see them blink at him, like little owls, he never got to witness their little baby yawns, or watch as they curled their tiny fingers around his thumb. can you imagine him in the hospital, pressing a soft kiss against his son or daughter’s forehead, wondering how their skin could be so soft?

can’t you just see him struggling with putting together a crib or painting the nursery, buying way too many stuffed animals? running out for diapers. making his own baby food? can you imagine his face, the look of pure joy when his little one comes running up to him with their first tooth? can you imagine him tucking in his little one, or curling up next to them in bed and reading them stories until they fell asleep?

dean deserves a baby. he deserves love. he deserves to love. we already know how excellent he is with children. just imagine if he got a chance to do it with his partner from day one. how amazing would that be? imagine he gets to raise a family with cas? the two of them with their own house, two cars, a baby on each hip, sunday picnics, evenings in the park, trips to the fair, PTA meetings. just imagine all the things.
