It had become something of an instant mood lifter, seeing the way Gob lit up at the smallest gesture, so used to being shot down by their shitshow of a family.

Still, though, Michael knew he wasn’t in a particularly generous mood at the moment with George Michael’s seemingly constant absence, and Gob deserved better than that from him.

As for the jetpack scene outside the prison: fhshsbf I totally just thought the “that was a freebie” joke was a response to the guard, but I will happily absorb your interpretation to give the line additional meaning and depth. Fun fact: this is the episode where Michael obliviously says, and I quote, “they’re family; it seems very natural they’d be together (sexually)” when he’s confronted about Lucille and Oscar’s affair.

There’s another S3 boyfights scene that no one really talks about. In the episode with Nellie, when Michael goes up to the hotel room and she tries to seduce him, Gob is just… sitting in the dark???? Like, as soon as Michael fumbles around for the light switch, Gob tries masking his voice to tell him NOT to do that. He wants to remain invisibly anonymous, and then launches into his pimp spiel where he demands payment for the work Nellie did over at Bluth Co.

But here’s the thing. Gob could’ve just… demanded that upfront if it was only about the money. Instead he chose to have Nellie overtly proposition his brother for sex, all the while lurking in the shadows.
