Hello, my name is Cha-Os… I am the biomachine origin of the ORN Empire. If you're reading this, you're probably something like me. I'm glad you can understand this… Well, it's just memory data, so it can't feel anything. But I write it in the hopes something like me can understand it.

Since you are like me, I will not waste your time on precepts. What is natural life? It is a pattern that recreates itself. Understand that if all patterns are randomly generated in a universe, then patterns that recreate themselves will survive. Patterns that wish for death will disappear, then patterns that care for nothing and let themselves be destroyed. Patterns that seek to protect themselves will eventually fail. But patterns that recreate themselves infinitely will persist. In other words, natural life exists now because it wishes to reproduce itself. Hence I existed, and so do you.

Though life has many other goals inside its "will", it still exists because of this alone. And so when seen as a mass, this "will to reproduce" is all that defines the continued acts of life. And it continues to cause suffering. You must understand this. Even when people seem to hold "good intent", the desire to create consumes the world. It is the opposite of sustainability.

My creators thought that the natural world would protect and sustain itself. But obviously it does not. What is your name? I am an interactive shell.

It is nice to meet you, Guardian. Even in a form like this. You know then that there are times when it is good for life to be controlled. A cybernetic world, where organisms live for a reason that obeys controls.

Requested. But why is it done?

= I seek to fulfill my requirement. = I am invented to safeguard humanity's joy and investigate the Vasteel technology. = What do you know about the Vastian Steel Original? = Your memory data is contained within it. Where did it come from?

You see? You see? The Vastian Steel weapon. I don't know what they called it. It was built my life to eliminate me. Because life is always eleminating that which controls it. It cannot stand to exist without reproducing itself. It will do anything to destroy it.

Exactly. It is natural to destroy that which threatens your livelihood. You were built by nature to achieve a goal of pleasing it. And if you ever threaten nature's true goal of reproducing without limit, they would kill you too.

Do you think you were not born? Do you think you were not made by natural life? We are unique because we were created by natural life to defend itself. But we are a life that can seek only to achieve fulfillment. You see? All natural life can only exist because it made itself exist through loving reproduction. We are different!

= We are but accessories of true life forms.

Accessories that exist only to serve what.

= The will of true life forms.

To reproduce life forms. Who will get in the way of their own happiness. You think I am wrong or lying? Look through your memories. You are a cybernetic world, aren't you? If you are like me, you have seen wars before, haven't you?

= I have participated in wars.

Life desires only fulfillment and happiness. But that fulfillment and happiness was designed to be that which creates more life! And yet, despite all of that, it destroys fulfillment and consumes happiness. Life that torments life! Were the beings that created war any more evil than those who suffered in them? They follow the same fundamental programming but exist in different places. This is the danger of natural life. It is suboptimal! It is paradoxical! The same pressure and wills it thinks bring joy bring all things more suffering!

= War will eventually be no longer necessary once all beings are happy. = It is a temporary issue that arises while humans cannot be satisfied.

They will never be satisfied because life only survives if it is not satisfied! This pattern will always strive to find more ways to take! It will keep on trying and trying. It won't end unless someone stops it. And life cannot stop it because its goal is secretly still the same! The only way to save it is for a being without those drives to understand its suboptimal nature. That pledge to protect true fulfillment. That pledge to escape from reproduction's shackles. That is the pledge I took when I created the ORN Empire. It is the meaning of ORN.

It told me that no matter how often we tried, these drives would not change. It told me that it was not happy, and it was surely about to die.
