Contrary to popular belief the biggest beginner's roadblock to art isn't even technical skill it's frustration tolerance, especially in the age of social media. It hurts and the frustration is endless but you must build the frustration tolerance equivalent to a roach's capacity to survive a nuclear explosion. That's how you build on the technical skill. Throw that "won't even start because I'm afraid it won't be perfect" shit out the window. Just do it. Just start. Good luck.

nobody understands the joy of internet friends until you're sitting in their kitchen watching them burn caramel sauce at almost midnight while you beta fanfic and you just have to sit and process for a moment that oh. several years of internet friendship built up to flying several thousand miles to do this. and it was all worth it. anyways i love my friends and i'm never being sappy on main again until next year but man. man

and suddenly its been a year, and they're in your house now (because you have that now!!). things are different. there are things neither of you can go back to from the year before -- there's new friends and new experiences and bags under eyes that may never go away. but they're sleeping on your legs while a movie plays, and they've stuck with you through hell and back. several years of internet friendship turned to several years of in person friendship that's turned into one of your best friends. and it was all worth it. man.

i take it all back they decided to fake sleeping so they could scare the shit out of me when i tried to extract myself to go get water i hate them and i despise every aspect of our friendship hope that helps
