JOKE ASIDE 🤪😋😘, In your comics Jax is still making it hard for others while they try to make him comfortable. Just read your comments, a ton of people taking his little shitty pranks as harmless, laughing about how he would've still be a pain in the arse for the cast.

So no, if he want to grow he have to behave and stop being a jerk for the sake of playing the little gremlin. Sorry but to me he have lost the priviledge to being quirky when he get two peoples abstracted and sexually and mentally harassed the females characters.

I think this is no longer a good-faith conversation, so this will probably be my last answer about this.

At this point, I don’t think you’re responding to what I’m actually saying. You’re arguing with a version of my point that doesn’t exist.

I already AGREED that Jax was harmful, crossed boundaries, and hurt people. My point was never “Jax did nothing wrong.” My point was about a HYPOTHETICAL version of Jax after growth, where she could still be playful, chaotic, annoying, and mess with people without using it to hurt them.

A character being annoying, sarcastic, or teasing others is not automatically the same thing as bullying, especially if they actually stop when someone tells them to stop. That was the difference I was talking about.

There’s a difference between:

“Stop, that hurts me.” “Lol, I don’t care.”

and:

“Stop, that hurts me.” “Sorry, I’ll stop.”

The first one is canon/pre-growth Jax. The second one is the HYPOTHETICAL post-growth version I was talking about.

JAX IS THE FIRST EXAMPLE.

“GREZNEDGE/DAISY/LILLY/ANY OTHER NAME” IS THE SECOND EXAMPLE.

A HYPOTHETICAL POST-GROWTH VERSION.

This comic was literally just a silly joke about Jax choosing an absurd name to mess with people before eventually picking a real one.

I wasn’t writing her abusing anyone here, and I definitely wasn’t saying everyone is suddenly okay with everything she did in canon. It’s a lighthearted hypothetical based on the idea of Jax transitioning and still being a little gremlin, not a serious statement that “bullying is fine now yay.”

Ragatha being annoyed in this comic was meant to be comedic, not hurt or traumatized. In my head, THE PERSON WHO DREW IT, after this, Jax would eventually admit her name is Lilly, Daisy, or something normal, and they’d probably go get coffee while Ragatha calls her an idiot the whole time.

You’re free to dislike Jax and disagree with me, but reading every harmless joke as abuse and accusing me of excusing real abuse because of a goofy comic is not a fair interpretation.

I’m not going to keep debating a hypothetical as if I’m defending real abuse. This is clearly not a good-faith conversation anymore, so I’m leaving it here.

BTW, saying “I’m just teasing 🤪” and “JOKE ASIDE hehe 🤪” while complaining about boundary crossing, especially after I agreed with you TWICE, is honestly a perfect performative fanart of your own argument.

I think you misunderstood what I meant, because I never said Jax wasn’t a bully before.

My point was specifically about after growth/change/self-acceptance, not about excusing what he did before. I do think Jax bullied Ragatha. I do think he crossed boundaries. I do think he hurt people. That was literally part of what I was talking about.

What I’m saying is that, in my interpretation/AU, if Jax ever reached a healthier place, she wouldn’t magically become a completely different person with no sarcasm, no teasing, no pranks, no chaotic personality. She would still be playful, annoying, sarcastic, and a little menace, but without using it as a weapon to actively hurt people.

And yes, I agree that with Ragatha specifically, it would be different. Jax wouldn’t just “get” to act like a harmless prankster with her after everything. There would need to be accountability, apologies, boundaries, and Ragatha would have every right to not forgive her or not want that dynamic anymore. A prank is only a prank if the other person is actually okay with it. If it keeps hurting someone and you keep doing it anyway, then it’s bullying.

So no, I’m not minimizing his behavior. I’m talking about the difference between past harmful behavior and the possibility of a character changing in the future. That’s not the same thing as saying “aww, you can’t take a joke?”

Also, ending a message by insulting me and then saying “I’m just teasing 🤪” is kind of exactly the point. Teasing without mutual comfort is not teasing, it’s just being rude.

You accidentally demonstrated the difference better than I could, so thanks for the free example, I guess.

I made a few small adaptations after the finale, but honestly, I didn’t really change the core of anything.

Most of the things I had planned are still the same, and some of them actually connected with canon way more easily than I expected.

I already wrote a more detailed post explaining what changed, what stayed the same, and how I’m connecting everything, I just haven’t posted it yet. So please keep an eye out for that!

I had already planned to make Jax abstracted in my AU because I wanted to explore him as an abstracted/hybrid version during the apocalypse arc. So, even though I didn’t exactly want Jax to become abstracted in the actual series, I have to admit I was happy that I could connect that part to my AU so naturally. It was one of those “well... this hurts, but it fits” moments lol 😭

The trans part is also something that was already very important to me. It has been my favorite headcanon for Jax for a long time, I just hadn’t made it explicit in the story yet. But it was always there in how I interpreted her. My reblog Tumblr has had a lot of transitioned Jax art since before the finale, back when we only had "Daisy" arts and nothing was confirmed, so this wasn’t something I suddenly added just because of the ending. It was more like canon finally gave me the freedom to say it out loud in my AU.

I also had noticed a lot of the hints and possibilities the show was leaving open, but because everything was still uncertain, I kept some parts of my AU open too. That’s actually one of the reasons I never posted the continuation of the diary comic.

I wanted to wait and see where the original story would go before fully committing to certain things, even though my AU has its own direction and, in my version, everyone outside the Circus is already dead.

Now that the series is complete, I feel much more free to continue and finally post things I’ve been keeping saved for a while. One of them is the diary chapter, which is a direct continuation of the little comic I made at the beginning of the year where they read each other’s diaries. I’ve been holding onto that one for so long, so I’m really excited to finally share it.

So yes, the AU is absolutely continuing. Some details have been adjusted, but the heart of it is still the same. I still have a lot I want to explore with Jax, Pomni, the abstraction, the apocalypse side of the story, and everything that comes after. Thank you so much for caring about my version of what happens next, it really means a lot. 💛

I think there's a big difference between being a prankster and being a bully.

To me, pre-transition Jax used bullying as a really unhealthy defense mechanism. He pushed people away before they could hurt him first.

Post-transition (or if she ever reaches that point), I don't think she'd suddenly become a saint. She'd probably apologize for the people she genuinely hurt, but she'd absolutely keep teasing people and pulling harmless pranks because that's just part of her personality.

Making someone jump because you hid behind a door? Classic Jax.

Throwing someone into a deep fryer? That's just being cruel.

A lot of people treat "teasing" and "bullying" as the same thing, but I don't think they are.
