This past June 24th, two massive earthquakes destroyed various cities of the country, the first one being of 7.2 and the second one of 7.5: the strongest of our history... I don't live in Venezuela at the moment, but my family lives there! Thankfully they're fine, but the rest of the country is in shambles... (Update: there's been replicas of the earthquake all around the country... Yesterday there was a 5.2 replica...)

There's an estimate of 50.000 missing people, many of them under the debris of fallen buildings, other couple of thousands needing medical treatment...

Millions lost their homes and their families... My dear Venezuela needs help!

Please, if you know any venezuelan artists, commission them and help them! Thank God I don't need it, so please focus on other artists from venezuela! If some venezuelan artist is here on Tumblr, reblog this post with your commission charts so others can see it!

Yummy (a venezuelan private delivery company, they are offering free rides to hospitals and deliver medicine all across the country and are recollecting money to help refill medical treatments, food and any thing the affected civilians need)

(Update:) DO NOT DONATE TO THE RED CROSS!!! The venezuelan branch is compromised!!! It has direct ties with the corrupt regime, so any help you want to send to the Red Cross will be STOLEN by the dictatorship!

luckily my house only suffered minor structural damage, I also highly recommend just donating to the humanitarian aid pages/organisations since they're the ones doing the most for the most affected

So please, take a second of your days to share the donation links to reliable sources like we love foundation, red cross international (dollars donation and banesco USA), world central kitchen and Caritas Venezuela and please, please, donate if you can. Even a dollar is a lot in such circumstances. Also please check if Venezuelans in your country are collecting aid to send things like clothing, baby formula or packed food.

if you're from the US please call your representatives and pressure them to aid Venezuela. Remember that this is a massive tragedy not only because of the earthquake but for the inability to act caused by years and years of corruption, dictatorship and an aggravated humanitarian crisis that is now just getting worse. Aldeas Infantiles SOS: Accepts donations in bolívares (Venezuelan currency) through their Venezuelan branch. Donations in foreign currencies can be sent through Aldeas Infantiles SOS Spain.

Save the Children’s Emergency Fund: Donations will go towards providing urgent, life-saving support to Venezuelan children.

UNICEF Spain: Has launched an Emergency Fund for Venezuelan children.

Alimenta La Solidaridad: Activated their humanitarian network to support communities affected by the earthquake and deliver aid where it is needed the most.

International Medical Corps: Deployed members of their in-country team to the affected region to assess needs, working in close collaboration with local officials and emergency responders.

The House Project: Providing emergency humanitarian aid to those who need it most.

Fundación ACNUR Argentina: Independent, non-profit organization that works to raise public awareness and secure funds to support the humanitarian aid programs of ACNUR (the UN Refugee Agency).

Emergency Appeal by Healing Venezuela: Healing Venezuela is a UK based charity focused on alleviating the health crisis in Venezuela.

SOS Venezuela Appeal by People In Need: People in Need is a Czech non-governmental, non-profit organization active all over the world.
