Well everyone, I'd like to let you all know that the Robin Sylvester art gallery is officially open for the semester, thanks to a generous grant from the PSU Education Foundation. I'm particularly proud of one of my pieces in there, which is a tribute to my time over the summer spent on Poveglia Island-- an offshoot of Venice, Italy, that is touted as being one of the most haunted places in the world. I was really inspired by the death that radiated from the place. It made me feel more connected with my loved ones who have moved on, and truly knowing that I have protection from the other side. It's why I'm working on a new art project, and if anyone's open to it, I'd love to hear about how you try and connect with those who have passed on, or even with your deepest and truest self.
Music. Don't know how deep or true I get and I didn't try and connect with my grandma, she connected with me. Two days after her funeral, there was this rabbit outside my favorite spot back home. Looked just like the rabbit she crocheted for me when I was a baby. Kinda just felt like her way of saying it's all good.
