Me whenever I think about anything: everything is kind of the same..... and it's all related.....
I've made a grocery list and we're doing tutoring rn as soon as my laptop reboots and then I can do groceries 👍 and then I will be more or less on track for what I had set out for the day
both of us: and why is this professor having half the hw be copy and paste what chat gpt says
she found the strategy for a substantive comment of
pick a part of the post to reply to -> make an observation/ give a little extra relevant information -> ask a question/wonder about something
to be useful which is nice and also like. if only the professor was describing what makes a comment substantive instead of being like dont give your opinion or say you agree or disagree
it is interesting that my friend was trying to be like see you nonjudgmentally help people w things etc and im kind of like. but you see how thats not a big deal. truly like why is the obvious zero effort thing the impressive and rare thing has anybody ever considered getting it together
actually its like i do think recently i have become more conscious in a literal sense like on average my brain is a little bit less fogged over and i am on average more functional but im also very much functioning really poorly in many regards where i simply don't have any support or like. very little
and i feel like we all know how much easier things are when other people step up to pull some of the weight so like. i don't know it's frustrating
like i'm glad i can have that trait and people appreciate it but it shouldn't be impressive and i kind of resent that it is

new updated drive with psych abolition resources! it’s sorted into folders for specific subtopics for things like harm reduction, different types of support, disability justice readings, mad liberation zines, etc. it’s not complete yet—there’s a bunch more resources I want to add once I’m at my laptop again but wanted to share now!

maybe my new thing is 🚫helping professions are out🚫 ✅solving puzzles professions are in✅
Something interesting is that you don't really see educators talk about the intellectual challenge that you yourself can have when teaching. Or at least I haven't seen it phrased in the way I'm thinking. This is because of our society I'm sure but like
My issue has always been classroom management because of how I am as a person and also no training but as far as education goes
It's very peaceful to approach someone struggling as ah 🤔 a puzzle for me 🤔 and also if you also openly ask about like does this help does this not and why then you're also engaging them in exploring their own abilities and cognition 🤔 theoretically
Basically your students challenge is to learn the material and your challenge is to figure out how you can get them to learn the material and ideally you're in it for the love of the game
Altho like. How that meshes with exploratory inquiry based stuff vs more structured rules learning stuff idk
But in any case I feel like ofc you hear about pride in helping students to succeed esp ones who struggled or this or that but like. It's results focused? Are there think pieces out there about how great it was for them to work with students who were really bad at whatever because it's just simply more interesting
