I wanted to try something a little different! The days of the week each have their own power, and by doing certain spells and rituals on these days, you can get more power out of them. Of course, this isn't guaranteed. You can always do witchcraft on whatever day of the week you want!

Sunday

Ruled over by the sun. Sunday is best for solar power, success, personal empowerment, wealth, health, and new beginnings. I like to do spells that relate to the healing of my body, mind, and soul on Sundays. It can also be a good day to ask for insight from the gods, and divine intervention/miracles from them as well. It can also be a good day for spells to help with all kinds of relationships as well.

Monday

Ruled over by the moon. Monday is best for lunar power, purity, spiritual cleansing, astral work, divination, and psychic ability. Because of its lunar representation, Mondays can be good for divine messages and cleansing. Spells and rituals relating to a new start are really good during this time.

Tuesday

Ruled over by Mars. Tuesday is the best for physical power, passion, sexuality, drive, ambition, achievements, protection, reversing hexes, and psychic attacks. If you feel you need extra protection, or that you've been cursed, Tuesday is the best day to do something about it! It can also build confidence and strength in your mind and soul.

Ice, one of the greatest forces of nature, can help weaken and remove a curse.

If you feel you've been cursed and you know it's source, this spell will help weaken it with harm to none.

Write the name of the source on a small piece of paper and fold it. Place the paper in a small freezer bag and add enough water to cover it. Then place the bag in the freezer.

When the water has frozen through, take out the bag and cleanse it, as you do so say this charm :

With ice opposite of fire,

Free me from this curse as I desire.

With ice this curse's power is locked,

As it melt's the curse's power will stop.

Allow the ice to melt. When melted, pour the water and paper away from your home.

The ice will serve to lock or "freeze" the curse's power. As the ice melts, the curse will dampen and eventually be stopped.

Call upon Hekate when you are beset upon by hostile forces, surrounded by thick psychic attacks and drowning in personal negativity. The Goddess of Witches is near at hand for those that are suffering from mental disturbances and conditions and all kinds of abuse and oppression. In asking her to attend to your space, you are asking for clearing and healing in body/mind/soul of all that wishes to torture and oppress.

THE RITUAL

Use candles and symbols associated with her in colour, shape, or essence (black, red, white, yellow, horses, snakes, torches, cauldrons, dogs etc.). Cast a circle and meditate upon an image or figurine dedicated to her/you associate with her. Carve words and/or symbols (pentagram etc.) on the candle for additional charging. Anoint the candle with a potent oil picturing protection dripping from the bottle.

Begin to pray and surround yourself with a flaming aura as you light the candle. Call on your guardians and the four corners. Invoke the goddess into your space. Cry out for protection, for purification, for banishing and a barrier between you and all that wishes to harm you. Feel her fill you and the space, like a presence from behind enveloping you with large wings. 

Name out loud the forces harming you and all that is hurting you. Reclaim all that is yours. Visualize a vortex ripping through the room with you at the calm centre, creating a barrier to anything that would disturb your peace. Chant a hymn dedicated to Hekate (you can use a well known one, one of your own created in the past, or on the spot speak from the heart). Watch the candle as it burns down. Meditate. Release all that is burdening you, speak words that are true, cry, sob, shake and rock.

Sit in vigil until the candle snuffs out. After the ritual, sit for a while and receive the dark mother’s medicine. Afterwards, crawl into bed, feel the protection and the newly found courage and determination to get through obstacles. Record your dreams the next morning because she will send a powerful messenger and symbols to light your path and clear the way. You may even have been left a message in the candle wax!

Best performed:

Between midnight and 3 am

In a pitch black room (begin in darkness and to darkness you return as the candle is snuffed out)

When you are in the thick of it: hitting roadbloacks/being abused/feeling oppressed and surrounded by hostile forces.

In particular Clairvoyance…

There are many different types of super senses and you can train yourself to learn most of them. Clairvoyance is also known as ‘Clear Vision or second sight’ which is seeing or knowing things before they happen based on what your clairvoyance has shown you, being able to read peoples present situations or their past events through these visions.

Signs you are Clairvoyant:

You have vivid dreams/ dreams that come true, or often lucid dream

You have a vivid imagination

You can visualize or daydream easily

You see flashes of twinkling lights, colours, symbols, shadows or images

You had imaginary friends as a child

You can see glowing light around people (aura)

Other types of super senses you may have (that I will not go into great detail on this post with) are:

Clairaudience: clear audio/hearing

Clairsentience: clear sensation/feeling

Clairscent: clear smelling

Clairtangency: clear touching

Clairgustance: clear tasting

Channel/Channeling: Being a mechanism or channeling from the etherial world.

Activities/ways to strengthen your Clairvoyance and supersenses:

KEEP A DREAM JOURNAL: If you are having vivid dreams you should be keeping a dream journal to learn how to lucid dream, which can later help in astral projection, dream journals also assist with clairvoyance because it is a part of remembering and strengthening your visual imaging, the most important part of developing clairvoyance.

CRYSTALS: Some crystals can aid in enhancing and developing clairvoyance. Third eye crystals are better at helping with this as your psychic vision comes from the third eye chakra. Great crystals for developing clairvoyance are: Magnesite, Labradorite, Lolite, Dumortierite, Lapis Luzuli, Azurite, Malachite, Amethyst. You can place any of these crystals under your pillow when you sleep, carry them with you throughout the day and meditate with them.

MEDITATION: meditation can help with almost anything, and is especially good for developing clairvoyance. You can meditate with your third eye chakra crystals to help open your third eye. You can meditate on focusing to become more clairvoyant, asking your spirit guides to aid you with this, you can also meditate focusing on your third eye, visualizing your 'eye’ develop. There are many meditation activities you can learn to help with developing clairvoyance.

VISUAL JOURNEY’S: developing your visualisation skills will be a huge advantage in becoming more clairvoyant, visual journeys are a great way to do it! You can find visual journey tapes and recordings online, YouTube has a good variety, just try some different ones out until you find one that you like and practice on it. A visual journey is a guided walkthrough meditation that lets you 'be in’ a different environment, almost like a dream.

DIVINATION: practicing divination through the use of tarot cards, oracle cards, scrying, lithomacy, dowsing and sensing can aid in developing clairvoyance. Using these methods of divination help you focus your clairvoyance on matters which may be occurring at a distance, or back and forth in time. You can start off by choosing 1 oracle or tarot card per day and try to interpret its meaning before looking up its meaning in the tarot or oracle book, you may be surprised at how close you can match the meaning after a while. Learning divination takes patience and some forms of divination will be easier for you to pick up, not every form of divination will come easily to you, just do whatever you feel comfortable with.

INTERPRETING YOUR DREAMS: Along with your dream journal try and interprate your dreams meaning when you wake up, at the end of the day or the week look back at your dreams and see if any of your interpretations matched real life events.

REGULAR PLAYING CARDS: you can practise your intuition with regular cards, by keeping the shuffled deck face down, and not looking at the face of the cards, trying to visualise or guess if it is black or red, and putting them in two separate coloured piles, once you have gone through all the cards look at the two piles you have created, you will be surprised at how many of them you got right, and you will get better at it with practice.

a lot of people roll their eyes when I suggest meditation but, I don’t know how else to tell y’all, it’s really the best way to get stronger! meditation comes in many forms. It’s not always just sitting still and relaxing. taking a walk in nature is a form of meditation! painting is a form of meditation! listening to music and doing nothing is a form of meditation. anything that gets you out of your head and into a relaxed state is meditation!

It has all kinds of potion bases and it’s so informative!! However, some of the bases on the list aren’t consumable, and there are quite a few drinks missing. So I thought I’d add to the list the other consumables.

Note that this is a list of safe, consumable potion bases. If you want some non-consumable bases, read the original wonderful post!

This is all based on the correspondences in the original post, with some of my own correspondences and those I’ve learned from others. And it’s alphabetical because yay OCD.

A spell to manifest something into your life, to be performed under the new moon.

You will need :

🌑 Jar or other container 🌑 Water 🌑 Black food colouring (or any colour you associate with nothingness) 🌑 Square white paper (or any colour you associate with existence) 🌑 A new moon

What to do :

🌑Fill your jar with water. 🌑Write down on the paper what you’re trying to manifest, and then fold it into an origami shape. It doesn’t have to be overly complex, it just has to be something other than a square. It helps if there’s a correspondence between what you’re manifesting and the shape you fold your paper into. 🌑Put the folded paper into the water and then add your food colouring. 🌑Leave the jar with the water and paper in it outside to charge in the new moon’s moonlight. 🌑 In the morning, take the jar back inside and keep it somewhere it won’t be touched by moonlight from other lunar phases. The universe will start aiding you in the manifestation now.

Mix with a mortar/ pestle 1 tsp jasmine 1 tsp cinquefoil 2 tsp mugwort 1 tsp woodruff

Then add

2 drops acacia oil 4 drops benzoin oil 3 drops rue oil 1 drops sandalwood oil

Then mix with ¼ cup sunflower or safflower oil

This oil is for use within rites and workings as an anointing oil for the body and tools of the craft.

Dissolve finely ground dragons blood into natural cold turpentine. Into this liquid stir lightly pounded madder root and keep it somewhere both dark and cool until it becomes pleasingly red, stirring it upon occasion.

Set an iron vessel containing some linseed oil to hang high over glowing embers, add to this mandrake root, mugwort and vervain; there to warm until the fires death. When it has cooled, the two mixtures must be combined and left for six months in a cool and dark place before straining and bottling.

This is best undertaken during the full moon and the serpent and inner fire must be raised and worked into the preparation during its making.

Chronokinesis is the practice and art of manipulating time. All entities mentioned in this post should not be contacted nor worked with without further research on your part, and the definitions of such entities are not necessarily the full story.

These definitions are not meant to fully explain any methods of chronokinesis, but serve to connect related ideas and define jargon that will be scattered throughout my posts. Disclaimer: This list was compiled based on the opinions of those who sell stones and as such are familiar with the energies they encounter on a day to day basis. It is by no means 100% what someone should accept as fact, just a list that most people who work with stones in their professional lives prefer to sell or give to people who have the right level of experience working with higher and stronger vibrational stones. 

Iceland Spar-This is a type of Calcite that creates a double vision when you look through it. One shop employee said that she knows it as a stone to see into other realms, and doesn’t like to sell it to people who say they are new to working with the Fae or other beings/realms *

Ametrine-This stone balances both your physical and psychic energies, so it’s understandable why 2 of the people I spoke to had this on their list of stones they see as “advanced”

Shiva Lingam- One store owner had this on their list, and they said that it was on the list just because of how difficult it can be to work with effectively. They attributed this difficulty to it’s not being as mainstream as some other stones, not necessarily because of the vibrations of the stone itself. 

Titanite- AKA Sphene- One shop owner said they had a chance to carry this stone and chose not to, because the correspondences she had for it were “extreme positivity” which to her meant that the perversion of this stone, if someone were so inclined, could cause severe depression and sadness. 

Kunzite-This is a very pretty stone, but it has a tendency to bring “too much of a good thing” to its users when its overpowered, my friend who is a wholesaler will only sell it to people who ask for it by name. 

Apophyllite-This stone is a powerful cleanser and amplifier, and it tends to amplify the energies of the stones it is stored or used near. This quality makes it a useful stone. *

Amber-Because of it’s age, all 3 shops considered this to be on their list. Most people I spoke to said that because this is such a primal energy, its hard to tap into for a lot of people and because of that they considered it an advanced stone. *

Lemurian Seed Quartz- The only stone on this list that is from my (Ivy’s) personal opinion as an advanced stone. This is a type of quartz that has such a high vibration, I have had people around me get back and body pains from being around this stone. It is used as a healer and protection stone, and I consider it to be in my top 3 favorite stones. *

Malachite-Due to it’s high lead content, many staff members said that this stone often makes people feel off center, so they never recommend it to people who are struggling with “getting on solid ground” *

Lapis Lazuli-Lapis is well known as a powerful stone to work with, and every person I spoke to considered it advanced. One man said “Because it is the Stone of Truth, beginners or those who dabble can often receive bitter truth, and make their lives overly complex because of it.” *

Apache Tear-While a type of Black obsidian, which also made this list, this particular type is best for dealing with Grief, and because of this it made the list of advanced stones due to Grief’s being often hard to handle. *

Auralite 23- is a type of quartz with 23 different mineral inclusions. A newer discovered stone, it is still often mislabeled as chevron amethyst. Because there are so many energies held within this stone and its inclusions, 2 of the people I spoke to said they would consider this advanced. *

Black Obsidian-Most stone scrying mirrors are made from this stone, and its properties are excellent for showing you your true inner self. Because of it’s effect on deep inner self reflection, this made the list.

🌀 Utilizing the different energies around us is a center part of all kinds of witchcraft. Weather witchcraft is what I call a task for an advanced witch. After learning to control energies around you in a small scale, like your own energy field, your home, etc, you can tap into energies that have effect on larger scale, such as the Sun and the seasons, the Moon, it’s phases and the tides, and what we’ll focus on this post: the atmosphere as a whole, and how it’s changes define the weather, the change of energies around us. 

Here i’ll share what I’ve learnt through the years and give you my personal approach based on what I’ve learnt from my family and my own experience🌀

⛈️To understand weather witchcraft, you must first understand the science behind it. As with any path of craft, the first step is research. Weather is defined by the atmosphere, specifically one of it’s layers, the one that’s closest to the ground, called troposphere. This layer contains most of Earth’s water vapor, and it’s where clouds form. It’s also where meteorological change occurs. Before trying to change the weather by ourselves, we must know what makes it change naturally, and after years of practice, there are three things basic things I’ve found have to be taken into consideration when spellcrafting, and these three basics are: the Sun, Air and Water⛈️

☀️The Sun: The Sun, or heat, affects the weather through it’s radiation. Warmer temperatures mean more water evaporation, more likely to form clouds and rain. This also ties to water pressence. But more Sun doesn’t always mean more rain, the amount of water that the Sun can evaporate will define how much precipitation there is in the end, as in polar areas rain is rare too, even if water abounds, as the Sun doesn’t really heat it enough to evaporate enough for rain to be common.

🌊 The Water: Water pressence or lack of it affects the weather greatly. One of the first things my mother taught me was that places with large bodies of water nearby, like lakes or the Ocean, have less broad temperature ranges. This means, temperature changes less drastically: if it’s 20°C at mid-day, it’s not gonna be -5°C at night, it’s probably going to be ~10°C. Water, due to it’s chemical properties, absorves a lot of heat, thus absorves the Sun’s radiation easily and prevents the temperature from rising. In desert areas or places with really low humidity, temperature ranges are much broader, for example, 40°C during the day to -10°C at night, since there’s no water to soften the Sun’s effects.

🌪️ The Air: Differences in pressure and temperature cause masses of air to move, as wind. From places with high pressure and temperature, called anticyclones, to places with low temperature and low pressure, cyclones. Research what winds affect your area, where they form and what characteristics (humidity, temperature, etc) they have. Create correspondences for them based on their unique characteristics!

⛈️ General advice ⛈️

⛈️ Research, seriously read as much as you can about geography, the characteristics of the place you’re living in and how the factors mentioned above affect it’s climate.

⛈️ Make correspondences that work for you and make sense to you, corresponding to your area’s geography, the winds affecting it, your usual weather, keep track of it, also make correspondences for the Sun and Moon and Water or Ocean, deities you work with in your craft, their offerings and altar settings, you can include maps and drawings in your grimoire!

⛈️ For temperatures, you can call into Sun deities in your work, or use fire and Sun symbolism, like candles or burning sigils/offerings.

⛈️ If water is lacking in your area, consider calling onto water or ocean deities in your craft, spirits of any nearby rivers or spirits/deities associated to the nearest water source to you.

⛈️ Different winds with different characteristics will also form different fronts when interacting with eachother, research what these are and how they form, call into winds you need to form these fronts and you can even make sigils for that specific wind combination and the front it causes!

⛈️ Ways of weather working ⛈️

⛈️ Cloud/wind reading: also one of the first things my mother taught me, as different winds have different temperatures and humidity, they form specific types of clouds. Just by looking at the sky, their shapes and how many there are or not, or by feeling the wind, where it comes from, how cold or dry it is, you can tell which winds are affecting you at the moment, if there’s just one or more, and how many possibilities you have of rain or a storm forming. For example, I live in the argentinean northern patagonia, which means I’m affected by 4 different types of main winds. If I see clouds like nimbostratus, I know we’re having a wind called sudestada, and we may have storms and even a spring tide due to it’s effects.

⛈️ Make charms: you can make all sorts of easy charms for weather magic. The classic work is the 9 knot spell, but there’s much easier stuff like windchimes to alert of energy changes.

⛈️ Herbs, roots, spices, grains, sand: all of these have different uses in weather magic! Here’s some of my correspondences for water witchcraft, stay tuned to my blog for a future post on what herbs and spices to use specifically for weather workings!

⛈️ Sound: whistling, by yourself or using whistles, are one way to call on wind. If you have any tie to merfolk or know you have weather singing abilities, you can sing too (be aware, not all merfolk like humans singing, can cause with fae troubles too and you may want to avoid this), another good idea is chants or prayers. Making sounds similar to rain falling with instruments like what’s here called a palo de lluvia or small bells also work very well.
