I never got around to making a holiday card, so instead I have a Judy Garland-inspired wish for all this upcoming New Year. (I know “Get Happy” isn’t technically a New Year’s song, but it feels holiday-appropriate somehow.)

The only version of Sonic Adventure i can honestly say is bad is the 2010/PSN/XBL/Steam release.

The unmodded 2004 version is terrible - the window is permanently stretched and the HUD has no scaling at all. The only redeeming quality it has is the higher res FMVs (aside from the Intro, GC version has the best intro quality)

The GameCube version is the best vanilla SADX but it’s slightly stretched, has framerate issues and the longest load times out of all the versions. Plus, it’s still pretty bad compared to the DC version technical-wise - just read the sins blog.

This is what I think the order of best SA1 is:

360/PS3 < Vanilla 2004 < Steam < GameCube < DC/Modded 2004

I think the only reason I like the Gamecube version best is because it’s the version I grew up with, so I have some attachment to it

Has OP here tried the Steam release with the BetterSADX mod? It really improves aspects from the lackluster normal release while not making many dramatic changes to how the game plays (for better or worse).

Or is that version the one refered as the Modded 2004?

Ehh, I don’t see as that. I mean, it didn’t age well for me so I don’t think it’s a hidden masterpiece, but I found it more mediocre and midly annoying than fully bad to be honest.

Youtube: We'll demonetize for the most petty reasons on the planet that can include infractions as minor as swearing in a video title.

Also Youtube: A huge channel making tons of revenue literally posted a video where he found a dead body and stood around making jokes and faking shock at it's expense. He has faced no repercussions for it despite literally the entire community and most of the other big channels calling him out.

I would like to pass a law that obligates people to look at the source blog to see where a media is from and be only allowed to ask “what ‘insert media’ is this from” if the OP refers to the thing by the acronym, doesn’t have tags, has one of those themes that don’t show the tags, the post has been deleted or the blog is deleted.

Like come one people, I thought many of you had been here for a few years to know how to search a source.
