Probably too soon to say anything because we only saw four chapters, but in my opinion, Thea is the least worked on/interesting fli we got in recent books.

I thought I was alone in this since everyone seems to love the new book (granted I haven't seen any comments about Thea), I'm trying not to judge since it's been 4 chapters out of 20, but I feel like all her interactions were to be mcs walking wardrobe and be the damsel in distress to show that mc is strong and capable (never mind it's another blackmailed by a white dude book) it would have been nice to have a fli in a position of leadership (specially a black woman), but we get another best friend that will probably be sidelined, I hope she's not and I'm reaching, but sometimes when you are a wlw playing RC books you just know how it's going to be.
