There was numerous attempts before I was satisfied with these trees. The pines (that look spruces to me) were difficult to retexture for strange technical reasons. This includes the basegame and the vampire spruces of this same type. I also made a new snow textures and I just hope they haven’t changed anything crucial since updates. Spruce branch textures were edited from Vurt’s amazing trees.

do your get together world flower overrides fix how they float/aren't a complete flower that touches the ground? or is it just a retexture?
It also replaces the meshes so I think the floating should have been fixed? at least adjusted the height.
These replace the two world flowers in Windenburgh. Most of the textures edited were from the incredible Vurt.

Retexturing the basegame grass clumps was probably the first mod I made for myself in Sims 4. The original textures made me a firm believer this game was supposed to be a mobile game. These are meant to be used with @k-hippie ‘s amazing overrides. They are probably doing these same grasses as we speak but I just thought I contribute this small way anyway. Some of the textures and meshes are by kativip’s Witcher conversions  and freeasabird!

I have done versions of Leafbat and Glowfrog but I’m not happy with them! Sorry 😂 With Veild I have no clue what to do with it. I have thought about it though. Like maybe replacing the whole mesh. But if people have ideas please come forth!

there seems to be a revolution where people are finally realizing how silly high poly cc is. and with high poly we're talking stuff that's like 30k polygons and more. keeping one or two items above game ready (10k) poly in your game is fine, just don't put it on every Sim or in every build.
but when there's ppl who's cc is always disgustingly high poly, it's gonna fry your pc eventually. that's items that are always 30k and more. 1 (one) top at 50k. a pair of shoes at 30k. a hair at 80k. now say you have 20 pairs of shoes and 20 tops and 20 hairs. that's 20×50 000, 20×30 000 and 20×80 000. I don't math well but I'd say farewell graphics card. and this is just an example. that and the fact that people charge real actual money for it.
of course, this is just my opinion. but unless you hate your pc, check the poly count using sims 4 studio before you add things to your game.
If you’d like to learn how to reduce polys on bulky meshes, I’ve created a tutorial PDF of how to decimate meshes in Blender here. You can decimate any kind of mesh including deco and objects, as well as CAS items.
Would you be willing to do your own override version of the Owl familiar? I like blue-ancolia's version but it's too realistic for my game play style & I like the original owl's look but wish it was a little more realistic but not too realistic if that makes sense XD
I actually made an edited version of that Owl to my own game because I wanted to have the original color scheme. I can ask them if they are okay with sharing it but I won’t be doing a total redone of the Owl or any of the birds because it’s so so difficult 😥. Also @blue-ancolia and @simiracle​ did such an amazing job with the owl. I love it.
