The Sin of the First Gods

This story focuses on the rest of the unknown continent from which the Land of the Old Faith was separated. The reason for this separation is that the lands were contaminated by the corpses of First Gods corrupted by Sin, leading the remaining First Gods to decide to preserve what little could be salvaged, along with the beings and creatures that remained.

When Lamb corrupted their crown with Sin, it awakened the dead beasts, whose remains had lain dormant until then. These Sinners then began to corrupt the lands in order to seize them and obtain the remaining Crowns that still held life.

Haro was already familiar with Woolhaven, and he seems to miss the place, and he emphasizes something about it: the Shrine, the Shrine that has the shape of Yngya hehe.

Haro also often visits Yngya on the mountain. He feels such revulsion that he utters a word no one would ever imagine him saying, because the place where they met had been contaminated by The Rot.

Books of "Marchosias"

I don't know how I didn't realize it before, but I don't think we ever questioned where Marchosias got so many books with information about the Cyan Crowns, the mountain, the winter, and those papers with symbols. And the answer, in fact, seems to lie in art.

On the floor you can see papers literally identical to those Marchosias has. Similarly, books similar to those Marchosias has can be found on the left side.

Furthermore, very similar books can be found in Marchosias's room at Aniel's museum. And canonically Marchosias has been in Woolhaven, this because of the Research Tablet I, so I suppose he managed to get some books taking advantage of the fact that, well, they didn't have an owner.

Gold Ritual

I think we all know that we can sacrifice followers so that Midas can transform them into gold statues. But finally, thanks to the Art Book, we know the reason for this, and it's not a Midas' ability.

Thanks to someone sending me a better quality image, I was able to read what the notes said, and discover that what Midas does is a ritual. Now the only question remaining is where this ritual originated, although it is possibly something related to the Gods of Gold.

Red Crown of The Goat

This is a curious detail, but although it's not very noticeable, when we interact with The Goat's Shrine and the entire environment turns red, The Goat Shrine's sprite changes its purple light to red. Do you believe this is another sign that The Goat's Crown is simply the Red Crown, but from another world?

Discarded Turua Tarot Card

Apparently, there was a Tarot card related to Turua that ended up being discarded, something seen in the Art Book.

The Sky Horse?

There is a sprite for a horse with a crown and a crown symbol. Something very similar to Sky Horse, a supposed god, who was worshipped by members of the Colt Cult, also known as Horsonia.

There are clearly differences, but it seems quite curious that there's a horse with a crown, just like Sky Horse.

Silk Moths women and men

They knew that silk moths are the only species in all of CotL that demonstrate gender differences and also show a male with a certain "part" in the form of a bulge. I don't think we need to talk about this anymore, you already know.

Souls and corpses

The curious detail is that the Lost Souls we collect always have their corpses in front of a Yngya Shrine. It's interesting to know how they died there, although it's not very certain since they have random dialogues that don't change even if they're in The Rot or Ewefall. Even in the script, those dialogues are referred to as generic. So their dialogues can tell us a little about their deaths, but not much because they aren't programmed to be coherent.

Enemy hand

I don't know if many people noticed, but Ophans has the ability to summon a unique little enemy, which is possibly one of the least known.

More Hearts of a Heretic

I think we all know that there are currently 5 Hearts of a Heretic in the game, but before, there were more.

Apparently Aym and Baal would also have Hearts of a Heretic, and Hagar would have it too. But the most interesting one is Narinder; he too would possess one of those hearts.

Old Faith and The Goat?

Did you know that there are different versions of the same sprite? But the only thing that changes is the name under which the sprite is saved. And here's the interesting part: one version of these tents is called GoatTen. It's possibly because, if you didn't know, The Goat in the CotL Beta Demo belonged to a group called the Bishops, that's right, just like our Bishops. It's possibly a leftover name from when the story was being updated, and a version with that name was left behind.

The Free Pack performs rituals

This was a curious discovery, as it turns out that these specific areas have something special about them, and that is that a ritual is being performed.

This is confirmed by the names of the sprites, which only leaves us wondering what kind of ritual it was, and for what purpose? As you know, rituals can do many things.

Miniboss Worm

This appears to be a discarded Miniboss, or an early version of Amdusias, which bears a strong resemblance to Leshy. Perhaps they wanted a Miniboss that resembled Leshy's Eldritch form?

Chazaq and his opinion about the other Disciples

I don't know if many people haven't noticed this fact, but the descriptions in the Woolhaven Graves were not written based on the popular memory of the lambs about a X disciple.

These descriptions were written by our clearly beloved Chazaq; he was the creator of these gravels, as stated in Aniel's Lamb Tablet about Chazaq. I'll leave the descriptions here so you can make your own choices about the relationship Chazaq might have had with the rest.

I can highlight a few things here, and that is that Chazaq did not know Erlim at all, as he describes him as a "bone reader". But Erlim is not a reader of bones, he is a reader of frost and ice.

Another funny description is Chazaq's of himself, a bit egocentric xd

Koka's description and how he writes about the stars could be a reference to his two daughters who were also buried with his beloved. I say this because both girls are wearing a hat with stars on the tip.

We can also see the incredible work that Chazaq did sculpting each grave.

Midas's Cave original

I managed to get an image from the Cult of the Lamb art book, and one of the coolest things I saw was this. Apparently, we would have had a fairly large entrance to what used to be Midas's Cave, which I won't deny would have been great.

The Fanatic's Hand

I don't know if many people have this information, but I'm sharing it for future artists interested in designing their own The Fanatic. This god of unknown appearance reveals part of their arm as well as their hand, which has five fingers, a characteristic not many figures possess.

It's funny to have arms being a snake, haha, but knowing that The Fanatic's first design was The Snake, I guess the fact that they have arms is normal.

Renewal and Decay from the beginning?

Did you know that the concept of the Cyan Crown has been present since the very beginning of the game? It appears in the Menticide Mushrooms, and well, considering these fungi originate from the corpse of a First God, perhaps that First God is connected to the Crown of Yngya? Could they perhaps be its creator?

Entity of the world of The Goat

I think we all remember the dialogue from The Goat Shrine, right?

I think some people might have thought it was The Goat, but the script for a dialogue that was in a demo shown in Japan shows that it is not them.

So we're left wondering, who is the entity that's speaking to us?

The Cultist Guardian from Pilgrim is female

We all remember this Cultist in Pilgrim; I don't think anyone thought about whether she had a gender or pronouns, because, well, she's a minor character for a few scenes.

But apparently the character was important enough to have pronouns.

Law of Creation spring from Destruction

Speaking of the laws of Nature, one of the existing laws, which is also mentioned by Kudaai, is also present in the necklace that brings Aym back. So I believe that the return of Aym and Baal works using this law.

Star of David and the Head of Yngya

This curiosity was pointed out to me by someone, and it concerns the shape of Yngya's head, which is practically very similar to the Star of David.

I don't know much about this star, but from what I've found, it represents a connection between the earthly world and the divine, and knowing the relationship Yngya had with her lambs, I suppose that would explain the shape

Renewal and Decay

There would have been material that would reveal much more about the concept of Decay and Renewal. A resource that would be created by merging Rotburn and Charged Shards

This reminded me that lightning isn't actually Marchosias's power, something I'd almost forgotten because of how much he uses it, although I did know the power didn't come from him. But I didn't realize that this power comes from Yngya; these lightning bolts originate from Winter and the concept of Yngya.

And well, I wanted to take this opportunity to show you some other artwork I've been working on.

The Crosses

The crosses, apparently, are the only natural thing that belongs to The Gateway; I say this because of the purple Gateway species where the corruption of The Goat's world is entering.

Besides being the only thing that remains when we use the resurrection mechanic, The Gateway fully preserves the crosses.

The Chains

The chains clearly do not belong to The Gateway; they are the chains that have been binding Narinder to this place. We can see how these chains are broken alongside Narinder's liberation. Likewise, the remaining chains end up breaking when Narinder is about to transform into his Eldritch form and he cracks the ground.

And by the time Narinder enters his new phase, the place no longer has a single chain, which tells us that at that moment Narinder no longer has any chains binding him.

The Skulls

I really don't have any explanation for the skulls, but the only thing I can say about them is that I don't think they originated from The Gateway. Perhaps they are the skulls of his failed vessels, and he became so angry that he dissolved their souls from physical forms, reducing them to mere skulls? Knowing that Narinder is quite sadistic, it wouldn't be surprising.

And by the way, I must clarify one thing, Narinder has not been trapped for more than 1000 years, he has been trapped for exactly 1000 years in The Gateway.

Opinion of The Gateway

No, I don't think The Gateway suits its bearer; the chains weren't there because the place suited its destiny, they were the chains that held Narinder, the same chains the Bishops made. And once Narinder is free, The Gateway is freed from these chains. Likewise, as I mentioned in the resurrection mechanics, not the entire place was filled with chains; they were probably only where Narinder was located.

And now that I think about it, I want to see what you all think.
