Before the war destroyed everything, I had a home full of memories, and even small things like my plants gave me comfort and a sense of peace. I had a life that, though humble, was mine. My name is Ghazi Al Amoudi, a 26-year-old instructional designer from Gaza City. I’m writing this with the little strength I have left, not just as a professional or a student of life—but as a human being, as a son, and as someone desperately trying to protect his family from death.

Since the beginning of this war, we have lost everything—our home, our work, our friends. We live under the constant sound of drones, missiles, and grief. There’s no safe place in Gaza anymore. No shelter. No escape.

Hello everyone, I am Ghazi Alamoudi from the northern Gaza Strip, displaced in Deir Al-Balah, and living in a tent with my family.😢🥺

My family and I are facing unimaginable hardship due to the ongoing war in Gaza. We have lost our home, my career, and our sense of safety. Now, we are living in a small tent, trying to survive each day amidst the chaos and destruction.

Before the war, I worked as an instructional designer, building a future for my family. But that life has been shattered. We are now desperate to find safety and start over. But we need your help. We are trying to raise funds to escape Gaza and rebuild our lives in a place where we can finally find peace.

Before — This was my life before the war, filled with hope and promise.

After — This is what remains after the destruction.

What once stood as a symbol of hope, my Home is now nothing but shattered walls and debris. I had just finished building our home, a place where I could finally feel safe. But in the blink of an eye, everything was destroyed by the ongoing war. The sounds of explosions filled the air, and I fled with nothing but the clothes on our backs. Now, where our memories and dreams once lived, all that remains is devastation.

For the second time, my family and I are displaced in the same devastated city, Dier Al-Balah. This time, we are living on muddy ground. When it rains, the land turns into a swamp, making it nearly impossible to move. Even when it's dry, the water on the surface creates unbearable conditions. the extreme weather makes it even worse. In winter, the cold and rain are unbearable, and in summer, the heat is suffocating. We have nothing stable to hold on to. We have been forced to flee from place to place, seeking safety in a city that offers none. Every move is filled with fear and uncertainty, hoping that this war will finally end. We are exhausted, but we must keep going.

Not only that but Even finding something as simple as a pair of shoes has become a struggle, and become a rare luxury in Gaza, they’re too expensive to afford. Walking on rough, muddy ground without proper shoes has made life even more painful. We’re trying to survive with the bare minimum, but every day brings new challenges.

Correction: Our Fundraising Goal

Dear friends,

When we started our fundraising campaign, we set an estimated goal of 10,000 Euros per person to cover the costs of safely evacuating and rebuilding our lives. However, I need to clarify that my family consists of 7 individuals, meaning our total goal is 70,000 Euros.

This amount will go directly toward:

1-Travel Expenses – Covering airfare, visas, and transportation for my entire family.

2-Temporary Shelter – Securing a safe and warm place for us to stay upon evacuation.

3-Basic Necessities – Providing essential items like food, clothing, and medical care.

4-Rebuilding Support – Helping us access education, healthcare, and work opportunities in a new, safe environment.

Why Your Support Matters Now

The situation in Gaza is worsening by the day:

1-Unsafe water: We don’t have access to clean water, and every sip puts our health at risk.

2-Freezing temperatures: The cold air is unbearable, especially for our children who are suffering the most.

3-Skyrocketing food prices: Wheat alone costs nearly 300 Euros, making even basic meals unaffordable for families like mine.

These conditions are pushing us toward a real famine. Every passing day brings more pain, more fear, and more uncertainty.
