Arachnophobia
I think if Saharan silver ants had humansonas they would look like this:
Ship this is a really unsettling thought, please put it back lol
no itâs a good and valid thought and objectively true
I'm more disturbed by the idea of Animals having "humansonas" like a deranged furry.
No no itâs great. Think about it. Think about which traits non-human animals might value as most attractive about themselves that they would then attempt to... zoomorphize onto their human OCâs, in the way that humans give anthropomorphized cartoon animals boobs and hourglass figures and expressive faces.
Birds seem inclined to find us pretty sexy as-is, boy I imagine theyâd give their humansonas brightly-colored hair and clothing and really loud voices. Bear humansonas would just be exhuberantly fat. Salmon human sonas would be huge and swollen and lumpy. Spider humansonas would have big women with wide hips and tiny men with disproportionately huge meaty hands.
Ship, this is dangerous water youâre sailing into...
that didnât stop Odysseus and it wonât stop me
anyway I think lions would create humansonas that look a bit like Emperor Nero
More on spider humansonas:
The women would have VERY large butts, long legs, and dramatically snatched waists, but no necks to speak of. They would either have great big huge anime eyes or a pair of small beady eyes, uncomfortably close together and high on the head. The hands would look strange and either be weirdly understated or have long, thin fingers with too many joints. Body hair would be straight and stiff. Spiders would NOT understand human mouths and would probably draw them in poses where theyâre not fully visible, or else give us enlarged and misshapen lips on our chins with jaws that close sideways. They would minimize breasts but make washboard abs on short torsos. Some of them would carry quintuplets in cradleboards.
The men would be small, skinny, and have big swollen yaoi hands the size of boxing gloves. Maybe they would actually wear boxing gloves. Male spiders would probably imagine their humansonas were drummers.

((uhh, hi there?
Sh3 couldnât help but chuckle a bit, letting her rest while still keeping sn eye on her. She didnât seem to be in a hurry, and no one seemed to be missing her either
It would be a few hours before she startled awake, groaning from the mixture of pain and exhaustion that hit her as soon as she onlined her optics.
She caught a brief glance of Elina and immediately sat up, completely taken off guard. âOh- youâre still here?â
Special means. Oh, Blackarachnia was well aware what that meant. It wouldnât be the first time the other webbed them to a faraway corner and âsupervisedâ until they rested. Despite her abrasive exterior, Airachnid did have a spark, and they were glad her affections towards them hadnât faltered during the war. Despite their disagreements on ethical standing, they were tribe-sisters. They always had been. They thought they always would be.
Canât risk you losing your lunch after convincing you to eat it.
âYou wound me,â they teased. âAnd besides, after living with Tarantulas for so long, Iâd like to think I developed a strong constitution.â
The weight of her arm, of her helm on their shoulder, was soothing. It reminded them of nesting together when they were still young and untouched by the troubleâs of the world.
âOh? And what do these missions entail? If itâs sport youâre looking for, I have a few locations in mind on this planet.â
âItâs not that I entirely doubt how well you can handle it, I just donât know when will be the next time I convince you to truly unwind.â
Make no mistake, she knew how strong Blackarachnia was, she respected their work ethic in spite of how hard she tries to get them out of work. But she could tell this war was pushing their limits. Though she had seen and made many others break, she would hate to see them undergo the same process.
âSport?â She looked up at her with bright optics. That definitely caught her attention.
âWhat spots are you conveniently hiding from me? Donât make me get them out of you!â
She chuckles âouchâ she raises a brow. âThatâs not always a good thing, you know. Thiugh, I bet itâs the exhaustion in this case.â she sighs, rubbing her optics a bit, seeming quite tired herself
She huffed, irritated by the medicâs continued talking, and scooted a bit away.
âGood night Elina,â she muttered, wanting to end the conversation so she could finally get some shut eye.

airachnidphobiaâ:
âA space bridge accident? Do you figure it was done intentionally or not?â She didnât exactly believe his story, but if she asked more questions, she might find enough inconsistencies or additional information to pinpoint where any other teammates might be.
Her gaze swept out in front of them, trying to find tell-tale signs of a scope glare or moving shadows. Incapacitating them from a distance would be hard, but she figured Autobots would be more hesitant to attack with a potential hostage in tow.
âItâs getting late. Do you have any shelter already made or did you just get here?â She unsubspaced another cube, taking a drawn out sip of it from one end before extending it out to him. A little under half of it remained, though surely heâd take anything if he was desperate enough to scoop it off the floor.
âHundred percent intentional. One minute I am dropping flares and smoke canisters, trying to gather as much attention as I can, and the next I am tumbling across dirt on a completely different planet. I am so far away that my communicationâs cant even connect to one of my comrades nearby to recalibrateâ He muttered, peering up to the sky to check the cloud patterns overhead. Sparse, tailwind, no storm.
âUhm ⌠I found an abandoned airfield? With a hanger, it was near where I crash landed so Iâve been holed up in it in case the Autobots track where the bridge closed to come get meâ Weaselwing answered, having far more restraint now but he is locked on to that energon cube as Airachnia take one, two, three casual sips before it was extended to him. Servos trembling softly, more in determination not to just snatch it from her, digits curling around it with a quiet âThank youâ to bring closer and ⌠Oh, yep. There it goes. Empty in seconds.
All alone. Sheâd feel pity if she could.
She noted him look out to the skies, gave them a brief glance, before looking back at him.
âIs it close by? I can make something temporary if itâll take too long to walk back to.â The offer was offered casually, though she was hoping she could convince him to trust her enough to take her to this seemingly nicer local. She had given him fuel, maybe that was enough to show him how nice she could be.
She still had three more cubes in subspace, which, if paced out by one individual, could last nearly a vorn. She had neither the direct means to find energon, nor a method to convert it to its liquid form. She had hoped that, with enough searching, she could find the necessary tech to deal with that second issue and would only need to conduct a solo strike on a Decepticon site. But it was harder to locate Cybertronian tech on this miserable mudball of a planet than she thought and she wasnât about to risk a suicidal mission on a mine without the slightest guarantee of gain.
Perhaps, with some assistance, she figure out a solution to both of these problems.
Blackarachnia glanced downward with a sullen huff, looking thoroughly chastised. Although the elder of the two, one wouldnât know it given how often the interrogation officer had to remind the scientist to take care of themselfâ Theyâd always been a workaholic, even on Eukaris. They worked throughout the day on ways to take them all to the stars and snuck back to the caves of the web-weavers at dusk, when all were blearily leaving their nests.
âYou know I canât sleep,â they murmured. âAt least⌠not well. This is just me trying to cope.â
Theyâd always been a workaholic. But, perhaps millions of years spent at war with no end in sight, and the palpable loss of Tarantulas, who had been MIA for centuries, was taking a larger toll on them than they let others see.
Blackarachnia glanced into their tribe-sisterâs eyes and knew better than to argue. Her brow was set stubbornly, and they knew it would be like trying to move a mountain. With a twitch of a smile, they consented with a nod. âI guess it is my lucky day, then. Thank you.â
They interlocked arms and began to walk with her towards the rec area. âS o. Have any new sordid stories to tell me?â
âI wonât dissuade you from how you manage, but you should be careful. Next time, Iâll have to resort to special means to make sure youâre getting proper rest.â
She took their arm and leaned into a shoulder. It felt nice to have them to talk to outside of work, even if it wasnât very often.
"I have a backlog of them, but I'll spare the details until we can properly get some food in you, canât risk you losing your lunch after convincing you to eat it."
The pair caught more stray stares on the way to their spot, all of which she ignored.
"I have a few Autobots to process, but nothing too difficult to break. Iâve been taking more missions outside of the office to make up for the decrease in prisoners. Itâs more busywork than anything, but I like having the opportunity to be a little more creative in my methods.â
Airachnidâs query, at first, didnât register, as the other Eukarian was intensely focused on pipeting some solution into beakers to be placed into the centrifuge. In fact, they wouldnât have known that the door was open at all if it werenât for the sound of outside foot traffic finally reaching their ears, and the smell of fresh air.
They peeked their head around the corner, and upon seeing their tribe-sister, rolled their eyes good-naturedly. âOh, come on. It canât be time to collect me already. Itâs onlyââ They glanced at a nearby wall clock out of curiosity and their mouth twisted into a grimace. Oh. They were twenty minutes late, again.
But they set an alarm this time and everything!
âUgh, hold on. Let me finish this set and put them in the machine, and Iâll be out.â
About another five minutes passed before Blackarachnia emerged blearily into the hallway, sans PPE. Her face looked a bit wan, and there were circles under her eyes. Andâ was that a six pack of energy drinks that she was carrying under her arm? Was that her lunch? Probably.
Her otherwise thin patience would have normally been put to the test if it was anyone else but Blackarachnia. She waited outside while her tribe-sister finished last minute items.
She scoffed at the sight of the energy drinks. âI take it youâre running on fumes? Itâs going to cost you your efficiency if you keep taking those.â
Her lunch cooler started to chitter and Airachnid lightly bumped it against the wall surface to settle her lunch down.
âYouâre in luck. I just so happen to have caught more insects than I thought, they barely all fit in this thing, so I am willing to share.â It would be wise to if they didnât make her insist on the food offer. It took an extra couple of cycles to hoard these many creatures.
She chucjles âfair enoughâŚbut if I reallysbtared to tell you the whole story youâd pass out before I got to the endâ She didnât seem too threatened, probably because she knew the ither was in no condition to carry out the threat
âHowâs the pain?â
âMmmhhh,â she yawned. âMaybe I need something dull to help me get to sleep.â
She was physically exhausted point where her limbs felt numb, almost comfortably so. âCanât really feel anything,â she noted with little concern. Pain would only hinder her falling asleep.

airachnidphobiaâ:
It took great restraint to keep from jolting towards him when he stepped away from her.
âDonât mention it.â
She kept hands and auxilliary limbs to herself to make sure he could clearly see she wouldnât try and grab him again. One of her servos was turned slightly to the side, aimed at his legs. If he so much as made a run for it, she would web up at knee joints to incapacitate.
She waited a it before starting towards the cavern entrance, glancing to make sure he kept up. She was in need of some fresh air before she even considered refueling.
Well, a deal was a deal. Sheâd place him back down, and heâd tell her why he was out here. At least in the darkness, she couldnât see him fidget, focusing on her lavender biolights to guide him out of here.
âI was âbridged out here. One moment, I was in a fight, I was giving air support, and the next moment I am tumbling across dirt and no one else in sight. The colours of sky and terrain tell me its a new planetâ He sighed, trudging along behind her and squinting against the brightness of the cave mouth outside.
Slag, had he really been down here this long? Sky was barely blue when he started, and it was turning pink as the sun descended. ⌠And he had barely anything to show for his efforts.Â
âA space bridge accident? Do you figure it was done intentionally or not?â She didnât exactly believe his story, but if she asked more questions, she might find enough inconsistencies or additional information to pinpoint where any other teammates might be.

Seeing his smile and hearing his offer made her stop dead in her tracks, though she made sure to pay mind and nodded. âThat is very generous of your resources, thank you.â
On one part, what he described seemed to be what she found exciting about her time
âYou prefer stability, moments of reprieve.â Something she herself needed quite a lot of getting used to. It felt like it was less than a day under this strange form of âmedical watchâ and she was already antsying for a moment outside the ship. âThat⌠makes sense. Iâm certain youâve experienced more of this war than I have, and your teamâs seen much more energon shed in comparison to what I may have.â
She held onto those datapads as tightly as she hung on each word he spoke. She was only listening to get more information, she reasoned to herself.
âAlso, because it is a good show of dexterity after a dip in saline. And I assume testing your limits on something you are passionate about, a thesis, is far more of interest to you than the usual hours of repeated motionsâ Shellshock hummed, far more content to tailor his exercises after medical visits to ones strength rather than the dull textbook recommendations.
Sure, he could just make Aira roll her wrists or touch her digit tips to her thumb for hours, or, she could let loose on the keyboard of a datapad and give feedback on whether any of her joints didnât move as smoothly as others.
âReprive is ⌠Nice. I cannot say that many other platoons get such a luxury, so until new orders drop, we are content to enjoy it as much as we can. And, since you are a guest of Blacktip, that offer extends to you. For as long as you need itâ Given her current terms of comradery with land based units, he didnât see Blacktip bringing her with them should they ship out tomorrow âŚ.. Not without a slight cosmetic overhaul of âNo, this isnât Airachnid. She is black and purple. This one is [insert colours]â.
âI suppose youâre right.â Boredom wasnât exactly eating away at her as much as it would be, but that was likely because of their conversation. She reasoned that, as he was the shipâs CMO, he would likely need to see to other things outside of recovery.Â
Recovery. Even that was a foreign concept to her.
âI-â She was definitely confused about that statement. Even with the pleasant interactions with the doctor, a small, nagging thought in the back of her processor was reminding her that she was still very much at large. It has been a good while since she first came onboard, yet no one was bringing up the elephant in the room.
âI wouldnât want to take too much advantage of his hospitality.â She wasnât sure how long she could play dumb about Megatronâs order to âkill on sightâ. But maybe there was some way to work around the potential ignorance. âIâll make sure not to extend my stay too much, as to avoid using up too much of your resources.â
She would be a well-behaved, consider guest, show that she could be trusted to at least let go. It couldnât be too hard to get in their good graces, or at least show that she wasnât a liability if released.
starter for @blackwldcw
It wasnât more than twenty kliks past scheduled breaktime and it clear that Blackarachnia would have to be lured out of the lab. Again.
Airachnid set down the files she was looking at to pass time and reached down into one side of the table. Claws grasped around the small cooler that jerked the slightest bit when touched and took it with her outside of the improvised office/interrogation area.
Avoiding the curious and disgusted glares from other passing Decepticons, she reached the lower levels of the Nemesis, taking the few turns to reach her tribe-sisterâs work area. Given it was a laboratory that required PPE, she propped one of the doors open with an auxiliary leg and stood at the entrance.
âStill finishing up that experiment of yours?â She called out from across the lab space, not caring if anyone else was around to hear. Very unlikely, there were few scientists as dedicated as the Eukarian.
