look what i did!!

you want to be freed from this forest, these trees that are obscuring you from witnessing Him in His fullness. you want to say hello. you want to be held by Him and feel the scars in His wrists. you want to fall to your knees in front of Him and sob and scream and repent and apologize.

but no, you’re silent and you’re in the middle of nowhere. and maybe the middle of nowhere is right where He wants you and maybe you hate that and maybe you can feel your death—how you must die to yourself and die to your sin and maybe you feel His death and how His death was supposed to be yours

and you feel Him.

God, you feel Him there but you want to HEAR HIM. you want to know Him. to know Him the way you know the echo of your own voice back to you when you call out to Him
