im usually an ardent postmodernism hater like i think robert venturi was v misguided and all his stuff looked like dogshit but these have kind of grown on me. i think they manage to be fun in a more intricate way that rewards careful obeservation unlike a lot of the more...coarse (?) architecture u tend to see in this category

i feel like they fit very nicely in the skyline too which is rare for this sort of building imo (and esp for their use case, a lot of hotels towers tend to be ugly too)

one if my favorite gifs right now the blankest eyes ive ever seen the lights are on but no ones home. and the other thing like grooming its snout but i don't think its even aware of what its doing. i dont think either of them know anything or know that theyre alive
