Agent Anti-Venom

The girls nodded then, and walked him back to their apartment in companionable silence. They moved around him like predators in eerie sync, not having to look or communicate with each other, simply aware.

And then they were leading him into their building, and into the elevator, down the hall.

“Welcome to our little Den,” Prudence said, with a smirk, as she opened the door, and stepped inside. It was a very nice apartment, though strewn over with various knicknacks they’d picked up over the years, and a great deal of musical accouterments. It was spacious enough for him to navigate easily in his chair.

They continued on in silence, the three girls circling him. He would have been more concerned about it if he wasn’t a wolf. As it was, he was too drunk to really care. 

It was a nice apartment building they finally brought him to. He followed them up an elevator and then down a hall to their apartment. It was as nice inside as it was out, not that he was surprised by that. He was glad to see that it was large enough to get around in, though. That was sometimes a problem. 

There was so much that would be dug up. Everything from the times he couldn’t save people to even more recent events. Everything he’d done as Peter Parker or Spider-Man would be brought to light. Some of it would be good, but the rest? He’d be lucky if he ever saw the light of day again after the stunts he’s pulled.

“Yeah, I know,” he said, hand running over his chin for a few moments. “What you’re going to hear…” he trailed off with a sigh. “you might want to re-think standing by my side.” Even before his latest downfall there were things he did that wasn’t good - people he couldn’t save - and disasters that happened because he couldn’t save everyone. Everything was going to be brought up… he knew that much already.

“You’re right though, this has to be done -one  way or another.” Even if every part of him didn’t want to do this… he had to see it through. He had to do something to get himself out of this mess. “I’m right behind you, Flash.”

A part of him was concerned that Peter was going to try to get out of this. Run away or something like that. Even as he said that it was the only way, he felt a slight unease, wondering if Peter would suddenly vanish on him.

He couldn’t look at her, his head lowered and his eyes remaining locked on the floor. He knew that he’d hurt her. Badly. It had hurt him, too, but a part of him still stood by his decision. she deserved a better life than she could have gotten with him back then. A better life than she could have gotten with him even now. 

Peter would fight it. he’d fight it every step of the way. he’d attempt to go through with it, sure, but if he saw an opportunity to run? He’d take it. He wouldn’t even think twice about his actions. Peter Parker would run and kill whomever tried to stop him.

However, he hoped it wouldn’t come to that. “I know,” he managed to get out lowly, glancing to the ground. “Just… what’s going to come out. I think even you’ll be surprised by it.” Not that he wanted everything to come out, but there was a feeling everything would make it self known one way or another. 

Up to and including who he was to the world. It was just a matter of time.

He couldn’t even begin to guess what all might be uncovered when people began digging into Peter’s past. And yeah, he was positive that there was going to be things that he wouldn’t like. But at the same time, Peter had stood beside him through the worst times of his life. He had forgiven Flash for how awful he had been. He had been there for him when he’d returned from the arm. He had tried to help him when he’d been drinking. All the awful thing that Flash had done, Peter had been there for him through. How could he turn his back on his friend after that?
