Lets face it! December is an awesome month. It’s an opportunity to hang with friends + family! (And not just once). Streets are filled with lights, people are in a cheerful mood and yes, the sharing of gifts!

Prom. The supposed greatest night of your high school career. All four years have been leading up to this moment and...wait! There's rules?! Apparently so! But, have no fear! Not only are we here to provide you ladies with a perfect dress, we also have a couple tips for you who are prom newbies!

First and most important rule of all; do NOT drink and drive. Have fun but be safe. 

DO say please and thank you, it goes a long way. 

Always make all entrances with your date.

Don't walk ahead of or behind your date, walk beside him.

Do eat your dinner! Most likely, your date has paid for a nice dinner for the two of you, he will not think you're fat if you eat it!

Use proper cell phone manners. Be in the moment! You don't need to be checking your phone at all!

Wear shoes that you won't have to take off while dancing.

If you are asked to a prom at a different school, it is becoming customary to wear a short dress as not to upstage the girls whose big night it is.

That's right. January is coming to a close which means that our next "holiday" is Valentines Day. For those of you with significant others close by, yay! You are probably looking forward to this day that I'm sure will be filled with love, sweet treats, teddy bears and romantic gestures! For those of us whose SO's are far away or nonexistent...we are dreading it. Here is some advice for those of you looking to make it through that treacherous day without a mental breakdown.

First of all, you are not alone! This Valentines Day, unite with your fellow singles! The best way to make it through any holiday is to let loose and party! There is no shame in sitting at home watching romantic comedies and eating chocolate ice cream by the tub, buuuuuuttttt...it never actually makes you feel better! Don't feel sorry for yourself! You don't need a man/woman to be happy! My suggestion? Go buy yourself some flowers, a new outfit and go out with your single friends! 

Whether you are going out to a fancy dinner with your sweetheart or hitting the clubs with your besties, here are a few outfits we reccommend to make your Valentines Day the best one yet! 

Every girl strives to be fabulous. But how many of you think that a girl can be fabulous, gorgeous, sexy AND stay classy all at once? 

It is possible and it's easier to find that you may think! So many styles this year are proving to be all these things, whether it's a prom, cocktail or evening dress. I think, no matter the event, class is the best quality to have in your dress. Everyone wants to stand out and getting the perfect sparkly dress can do that but if it also has a classy feel, you will stand out for all the right reasons. Wear any of these dresses and everyone will not only want your dress for themselves but they will ADMIRE you for your marvelous taste! 

As most of you have probably noticed, this coming year's 2015 Spring lines have been coming out from our favorite prom designers such as Sherri Hill, Tony Bowls, Blush and Alyce (can be found on our website, of course). Recently, I have noticed a few trends that seem a little strange to me. One new style that is being pushed is the crop top dress. First of all, it's not a dress anymore, once you cut it in half it becomes a skirt and a top. Call me old fashioned but what ever happened to elegance? Sure, these look awesome on the models on the runway but for a real high school girl? Not only is it a strange style for prom but I can't imagine many parents being okay with their child sporting a bare midriff at prom. This style is like taking the cut-out trend to a new level. I think you can make cut-outs classy and stylish but the crop top is too much.

Another trend that continues to vex me is the multiple types of patterns. Sherri Hill's spring line contains many different patterns including; floral, polka dots, stripes and unfortunately leopard (a trend I hoped would never be resurrected). I'm not opposed to dresses being unique or different but there are some things that just don't fit. I really like bling and lace and all that but I think solid colors are definitely a must. One exception, however, is the ombre style. I think, when done correctly, ombre can be very elegant and flattering. A dress should always flatter you and extenuate the assets you already have. Different patterns take away from that and bring more attention to the dress than to you. One Sherri Hill dress that continues to be my all time favorite is #1151 in royal blue! (I'll include a picture below, along with examples of all the other trends talked about).That being said, everyone has different tastes so who knows? Maybe these trends will stick and become very popular!
