Slavery had it to the point where they used to fucking eat us. People hated African and Black people being free so much that they rather either shoot would-be freed men, woman, and children so as to preserve their pride or hunt them down and do horrific things like lynching, rape preceded by killing, and using newborn children as alligator bait that they traded as a post card.
Obviously, nobody wants to go back to that period. But how politics works is it isn't just the president saying something and then everyone follows. It's a ripple effect of the rumors of bills and the actual passing. When instated, some people obey promptly, some dont, and the others try to find a loophole. Most people attempted to do the latter two with slavery because they believed for the longest they were entitled to the lifestyle that permitted them to it regardless of law.
This behavior is explained and passed down by those recalcitrant individuals too their kin whom carried on into police forces, justice systems, and of course, voting ballots. You remember the bogus "literacy tests" made by those at the ballots whom refused to let black people vote unless they could pass, didn't you?
No? Well that's the natural progression of where revisionist history gets you. It takes out not only some major events but also the ripple effects from changes in our history that led to this and one thing, particularly in this case to the workings of institutionalized racism that everyone so likes to insist is a myth and anyone who ever has made us think about it just needs to get over slavery and become one with the "modern people".
If you really want to improve the next term for the so-called modern person, then I want you to get off of your ass and go vote when the time comes and get that senile, self-important, low class bastard out of office. Especially to you nihilist anti-voters...

The family and I are a bit strapped for cash and we trade around when need be in order to get bills paid or to pay someone else. And of course I'm still unemployed unfortunately, though I am attending a program for folks with disabilities like myself so that I can be able to function in a work environment with things like my autism and anxiety.
I'm still in the middle of searching for something appropriate for me. I haven't worked since 2024 and honestly I miss it. The hiring process is harder and more tedious than the work.
