I vividly remember a scene from Saiki Kusuo that actually doesn't exist. I believed the scene existed until I watched the anime again. I even thought I skipped an episode when I didn't see that scene. But after some research, I learned that such a scene never existed.

Here is that nonexistent scene in my mind. In a some parallel universe where Saiki goes, time is a little further ahead and everyone is an adult. Saiki realizes that he is in the wrong universe and decides to try again to return to his own universe (and timeline).

Then the focus turns to adult Teruhashi living in that universe. We see her in a house we've never seen before. She is sitting on the floor watching TV.

Someone opens the door of the room Teruhashi was in. We don't see who it is. She looks at that person with a smile. "Welcome." she says.

That person doesn't answer. Scene starts to rise upwards from the waist of that person. He has shopping bags in his hand. Then scene stops at half of his face, it doesn't show that person's eyes. But we understand that he is Saiki cuz some of his hair is showing.
