Hot sand, cold water
It’s a bright and sunny day as usual in Alola and for whatever reason Kiawe’s found himself on the beach with Valerie of all people, it’s not that he wasn’t fond of the gym leader but she was the last person he’d think about spending time with. They were practically complete strangers, sure they’d spoken once or twice but this was… Quite the leap, who would’ve thought they’d be hanging out on the beach?
Kiawe sets down a duffel bag he’d brought along before looking over at Valerie and asking “Where do you want to set up? There’s a pretty decent spot over there by the palm trees, plenty of shade but a little big crowded.”
It had been one of her spontaneous moments. She had been talking to Kiawe, but then she remembered the lovely beaches and invited him along. She had to admit that she was slightly surprised that he had accepted, but it wasn’t disappointing at all. In fact, it would be nice to have some additional company on her little adventure. She quite liked Kiawe, he seemed to be very kind and they shared an interest, she figured this would be a good time to get to know him better.
She turned around when he spoke, she had been looking over the beach, a large sun hat on her head. Even in a bathing suit and sundress she still kept her theme, her sun dress somewhat resembling a gardevoir’s ‘dress’ while her bathing suit was the colours of a Sylveon, complete with the ribbons. “Ah, yes. That would be lovely!” She smiled, going to pick up her things. “Thank you once again for accepting my invitation, especially on such short notice.” She said.
