Valerie had many plans for her Alola vacation, and one of them was once again on Akala Island. She had heard of a man named Kiawe, they had said he was one of the trial captains and that him and his pokemon had studied dance. She was very interested to see what the dancing style was like here in Alola. Back in Johto, she had been raised learning to dance herself...while Tetsu, Fumiko and Kenta could not dance, Kota could dance with her, using his feelers to imitate her arm movements. 

She glanced at her map, she was told he could commonly be found around Wela Volcano park, the place of his trial. Judging by their environment they had arrived. She smiled down at Kota. “Are you ready, dear?” she asked, Kota giving her a happy noise in response. 

Together, they began to follow the path leading to the top of the volcano. Some trainers had expected a battle, and she gladly complied. There was nothing wrong with a little practice after all. She healed her pokemon as they went along and finally they reached the top. She smiled at the people at the entryway. “Hello, I am not a trial goer myself, but a visitor. My name is Valerie, and I am a gym leader from Kalos. I am interested in meeting Mr. Kiawe, if that is alright.” She said, giving a small bow to be polite. The gatekeeper smiled, moving aside. “I see, he isn’t busy right now, so you can go in.” She said. Valerie nodded. “Thank you.” She said, heading into the volcano.

Nori panted as she pushed her way up the trail of this; ‘Wela Volcano’ she had stumbled upon. A yellow fur ball just ahead of her stopped to make sure that Nori was sitll following, before running off as soon as she got close.

“Y.. You little..” Nori stopped to catch her breath. She hadn’t quite gotten accustomed to this Alolan heat, not to mention it was 10 times hotter near the volcano than normal.. She finally willed herself forward and eventually emerged out of the long cave like path to an open area, miles above the ground. She spotted her partner pokemon, a pikachu she had named Lylo, run off past an odd looking entrance way. They looked important and were guarded by two employees. She recognized their uniforms since she had to argue with a lot who were guarding gates that blocked off other parts of Alola. It had something to do with a ‘Trial’ of some sorts... Nori had only been in the Alola region for less than two hours, and she had spent most of it running after her curious pokemon rather than learning anything about the region.

She knew these two would stop her and ramble on about how ‘You haven’t completed the other trials, you can’t enter!’ She could see it on their faces as they waited for Nori to make a move. She met their gazes straight on before then taking off up the hill that her beloved pikachu had went up. She could hear htem yell behind her.

Narissa watched the fire dance performance with interest, glad to have made the journey to see it, even if her symptoms were getting worse from being around the heat so much, for so long. So, it was rather regretfully that she had to leave the moment it was done, before things got too bad. “I must say” she told Tipsy “that I wish I could have stayed for the party afterwards. I looks like it would have been fun.”
