💥I HAVE HUGE EMOTIONS ABOUT THE REMAKE! 💥
I HAVE HUGE EMOTIONS OVER LEGEND OF ZELDA IN GENERAL! 🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️
But CURRENTLY the remake- so much so that for a week I was contemplating becoming a streamer; even though I don't know if I would be any good at it, because I have SO MANY THOUGHTS.
I HAVE WANTED TO SEE A REMAKE FOR A LONG TIME NOW
1.) the original game is amazing. MAYBE EVEN PERFECT- (then why change? Some may ask)
EASY! I think Nintendo had a vision when they made oot on the N64. And I DONT THINK WHAT WE GOT WAS WHAT THEY ENVISIONED!
As stated in one of the art direction interviews for Twilight Princess- the art style of TP was meant to be a natural evolution / based on how they would have wanted OOT to be.
AND I THINK THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN BAD!

OOT to me is gritty in content with semi realistic graphics.
The original concept art looks almost nothing like what it looks like today. The art you know for OOT was created AFTER THE GAME RELEASED!
I adore the old art style. I learned to draw from it. But I always in my head imagined it in a more realistic / animated cinematic way.
TP is very dark and gritty in its visuals. But those visuals can create beautiful scenes. Not exactly the feeling of wonder. Which I think is pivotal to OOT and the legendary adventure you are on.
OOT is a Legendary Adventure. The creation of a place and a story of a tragic boy who saves it. Which is why the vibrant color palette works so well.
TP is an Internal personal adventure about what it means to be a hero. Which is why the darker color pallet works so well.
I want to see what Nintendo meant by "more like twilight princess". I'm curious. And the trailer has my interest. I wanted more grit- I WANT HYRULE FIELD FILLED WITH WEIRD MERCHANTS AND PEOPLE LOST ON THEIR WAY TO LAKE HYLIA! GIVE ME THE WORLD BUILDING I LIVE FOR IT!!!!!!!
I need to see more so far but when I look at that scene of link sleeping it looks so much like what I imagined. Soft but still real. Cartoony but still grounded.
When I looked at it the first time I thought it looked like the cover art of Fable.
So far I really like what they did with it. I need more to make my final decision but this is promising in my book.

I know the timeline can feel a little outdated at times- because it is- and it was never meant to exist!!!! BUT WE AS WIDDLE ZELDA FANS kept asking for how these made sense. And understandably so- since the stories and art were always so different but always had the same 3 little guys in it - fighting for the fate of the world.
WHERE DOES THIS TIE IN!?!?!
Nintendo made this chart to keep our interest. TO CREATE A NARRATIVE THAT DIDN'T ACTUALLY EXIST!!! Creating games that had very little to do with each other besides Easter eggs. And we CLUNG TO THEM!!!
WE GOT MANGA!!! WE GOT GAMES!!! WE GOT MONOPOLY!!!
Everything we know is based on a mood board. (And you will have to pry it from my cold unmoving body!)
BUT THIS- THIS GAME- WILL BE AWARE!!! AWARE OF THE TIMELINE!!! The FIRST REMAKE TO BE ABLE TO DO SO!!!! WICH IS INCREDIBLY EXCITING!

WE COULD FINALLY GET MORE FLESHED OUT LORE THAT WILL DIRECTLY IMPACT MOST OF THE ZELDA GAMES!!!!
Nintendo has the ability now to make the timeline MORE CANNON- OR NOT!
PUT MY LORE TO SHAME NINTENDO!!!!! I WILL BE HAPPY TO BE WRONG!!!!
We could find out where the Hero's Shade armor comes from!!! HOW HE LOST HIS EYE!!! How did sealing Gannon go wrong??? How did the world flood in WW?? DOES LINK HAVE A CANNONICAL DEATH?!
With a more fleshed out timeline, that also opens up the way for them to create games based on other history, like the Hylian civil war!
