Why do you want to demedicalize DID/OSDD? I don’t. DID/OSDD systems deserve support and recovery.

Why don’t you just roleplay? Hm, maybe because my experiences are fucking real. Do roleplayers switch? Do they experience time loss from their switches? If they do, they’re probably more than just roleplayers.

You’re trying to invade our spaces Nope. I don’t even post in DID/OSDD tags, much less ‘invade your spaces.’ I’m not a DID/OSDD system and i don’t claim to be. Honestly, I think it’s important did/osdd systems have their own spaces.

You must hate trauma survivors No. I’m litterally traumatized too. The only difference is that trauma didn’t form my system as a whole. I’m not mislead and telling me i really do have childhood trauma is lowkey kinda manipulative. You don’t know me.

I understand that it is different than roleplay - I agree with you here and condemn those who suggest you are just roleplaying. However, I also acknowledge that some Endogenics I have seen claim their systems *are* roleplay.

I’m grateful you don’t invade our spaces - but given that I can’t even scroll the OSDD tag without seeing posts from endogenic/pro-endo blogs, it’s obvious Endogenics and pro-endos do invade our spaces. Not to mention, Endogenics who post about OSDD/DID, when they do not claim to have the disorder. I would rather not have someone who doesn’t have my disorder speak over me.

I’m grateful you don’t hate trauma survivors - but being called a sysmed and traumascum, r*tarded, receiving threats I don’t feel comfortable repeating here, and fearing being doxxed simply because… let me double check… I am endogenic-neutral instead of pro-endo… hmm. Yeah. Clearly, somewhere along the way, Endogenics and pro-endos have made anti-endos and those who are traumatized feel hated.

If what you’re saying is true, then i’m shocked because i am not the one ‘pure’ endo system.

I know so many endogenic and pro-endo systems and not one of them wants to demedicalize did/osdd?? I’ve heard there are a few bad apples but they do not reflect the comminity as a whole.

If a system describes their experiences as similar to a roleplay, its not my place to fakeclaim them.

And although i nearly always dislike the idea of an endogenic system putting something in a tag for did or osdd, and i can respect not wanting others to speak over your disorder, pro-endo systems are allowed to speak in your tags.

There are so many systems, with did or osdd, that support endos, and are suddenly fakeclaimed and left out. It’s not fair they get kicked out of your community because they support others.

That said, i don’t really go through the osdd or did tags for obvious reasons and if endogenic systems aren’t posting in there for a very good reason, they should cut it out. I’m still skeptical that some are, but my point still stands.

Lastly, nearly all DID or OSDD systems are trauma survivors for obvious reasons, but endos can go through trauma too? My system has been impacted by trauma so so much. I as a headmate would not exist if not for trauma. My system would still exist, but it would be so so different without it.

Again, it happens, and THOSE are the people who comments are being directed at. I agree that blanket statements need to be avoided, but please don't strike a reversal and suggest that all endogenics are trying to do is exist and "vibe," especially since the origins of the endogenic movement are based in ableism and the demedicalization of OSDD/DID.

2. Yes, movements change; I agree that the current plurality movement is different from the origins. It’s such a shame it’s only gotten worse.

3. “Old”? I guess a movement from 20-30 years ago is “old” now, which is wild, as a common argument from pro-endos is that DID is a “new” disorder that is underresearched, but research into dissociative identities been around far longer than 20-30 years.

I’d elaborate more about what i learned and how what you’re saying just wasn’t true, but im low on spoons at the moment.

First, if the people you intend to keep contact with know about plurality then thats a good starting point.

If not, start with getting them to understanf plurality.

First off, we do have a basis of the study. We’re going to be conducting interviews with two groups, one with exomemories and the other group a control group without exomemories. We’re trying to see what the differences between exomemories and present memories are, since we haven’t been able to find any studies on this. However, we’re a bit stuck on what questions are the best to ask.

So, we’ve turned to plural tumblr for help! If you have any suggestions or advice or questions about this, please reblog with them! If you have questions, you can send an ask to me, Jess, and I’ll be happy to answer it as best I can. We’ll probably be sharing any findings we have with the community.
