the way that alicent is punished by the writers for daring to have a sexual relationship with ANYONE is disgusting. it's one of my least favourite aspects of the show. every season we see her sexualised and assaulted by the men around her. her one positive relationship that she gets pleasure out of is criston, and she's suffered for that enough (she shouldn't suffer for it at all!?)

#I had hope for this season #but the dedication to making alicent suffer really grosses me out #alicent is so often punished specifically as a woman too- doing too much / not doing enough / being prudish / having sex #I don't get what statement this show is trying to make #oh well #house of the dragon #alicent hightower
