We’ve been fine‑tuning the setup on our T7 test mule, and one aftermarket upgrade that’s turned out to be quite useful for hauling gear is the Black Dog Helo Pad. By replacing the passenger seat with this oversized 20” x 12” platform, you not only open up a big, flat cargo area but also shift some of the weight away from the tail for improved handling. With the Helo Pad, you can strap gear inline with the bike instead of letting it bulge off the sides, which keeps the profile narrow for tight trails or cutting through traffic.
