With the release of the new Gen-3 KLR650 — featuring a revised 6.1-gallon fuel tank and fuel injection — we were curious to find out how far it could go on a full tank while on a journey through some of the most grueling tracks out in the remote Colorado Desert. While the fuel range wasn't quite what we'd hoped for due to the punishing terrain that required a heavy dose of throttle, we couldn't help but notice how well the stock bike performed fitted with Dunlop D606 tires. The relaxed steering geometry, tractable thumper motor and set of legit knobbies allowed the venerable KLR to just chug along without complaint through seemingly endless deep sand and rocks.👉Check out the full story at the LINK 📲
