                          mulan blinked for a moment, shock flickering across her features before she glanced down at her friends hands. a smile SLOWLY began to spread upon her lips, her heart beating with EXCITMENT as she came to realize what day it was today, and felt blessed that her friend had not only went    𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐀𝐘    to get her something, but to bring something as sweet as she did. 

            ❝  𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐘 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐃𝐀𝐘      𝐊𝐀𝐆𝐎𝐌𝐄, ❞   she said softly, hands reaching out to take hold of the yellow rose first, smelling the FRAGRANCE of the flower before beaming at her.  ❝  please forgive me, i have never celebrated such a day, so i did not get you anything. why do we not share these CHOCOLATES and i make it up to you by treating to lunch  ? ❞

            ❝   𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒   ?  ❞   she asked, head tilting ever so slightly as a sift smile lifted the corner of her lips. eyes SPARKLED as she spoke of the celebrations, her mind trying to capture the moment but STRUGGLING as she had never been to such a event.  ❝  it sounds like a fairytale come to life. i truly would love to hear more about it, if you would not mind telling. ❞

                          smoke hovered within the air, the smell of BURNING lingered within her nose as the    𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄    rang throughout the grounds. her blade dripped in the blood of her enemies, her body      𝐁𝐑𝐔𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃    as she had fought her way through to get this far. mulan knew that they did not stand the CHANCE with this invasion, for they were out numbered, outwitted and far to scattered to make a difference. she could not dwell on how they had gotten this far, nor could she stop to think what it was they had LOST until they found a way to escape. 

                            yet though instincts told her to keep going, she spared a glance back towards the    𝐁𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐒,    the brightness of the FLAMES nearly blinding her through the darkness of the night. her fingers tightened against the hilt of her weapon, lips PRESSING into a thin line as she fought the urge to run back and make a FINAL stand. but she knew better then to give in to her desires, knew from experience with     𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐓    that this was not the end. 

            ❝  listen to me, ❞   she breathed out, far harsher then she had meant to, as she reached out to grab hold of the GUNMANS shoulder. her grip was tight, nearly at a tug almost begging him to step back and get behind her.  ❝  it is better to loose today, then to give them the      𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐒.    we must believe that others too have survived this attack and have escaped the clutches of those who wish us HARM.  ❞

                              mulan breathed out, as she could feel a sticky hot DRIP falling over her brow, making her blink with a stinging pain.   ❝  just because we lost the battle, does not mean we have    𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐑.    our survival is proof of this. i do not like running, but what good are we if we STAY and let them capture us or worse, outnumber us to the point we cannot return to make a difference   ?  ❞  taking a step forward, she turned her back to the flames to look up at the blonde her eyes speaking for her as she tried not to FEEL the dull ache within her chest. 

           ❝  you do not know me, but it is okay. i PROMISE i will get you out of this and if need be help you find those of whom you care for. but we need to keep moving. we need to     𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐅𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐀𝐘.  ❞
