corona's announcement of their little lost princess returning to them was a widespread joy to the world. a week long festival is planned &* all the surrounding kingdoms are invited to come meet the girl -------------- which , for hans , is like a shining golden ticket straight out of the southern isles. his family wants him out just as much as he wants it , so no hesitation is given when he requests the resources to attend. it's too long of a trip for any of his brothers to want to make it. but hans ? he loves being on the water. he will only make it to the festival by the last two days of it , but he's determined to make it worth it. there's an unwed princess to woo.

when he does arrive in the port , it's clear to see &* hear that the partying has been previously quite raucous ---- it's tuned down in these last days of it all ; presumably , everyone's quite tired. given the mess of decor &* the empty barrels of alcohol ... it's been a hell of a party. he's welcomed at the castle ---- they even leave out the 13th part of his announcement ... simply just prince hans of the southern isles ! how kind. when he is introduced to rapunzel , he's quick to bow low , head peeking up at her at the end to throw on that charming grin of his.

" oh, i'll be alright, " the blonde assured her friend with a sigh, as she moved to sit down beside her. it was. . . strange. their friendship was very real, yet also . . not. aurora knew her not as rapunzel, but ellie and the same could be said in reverse. were they supposed to consider their lives in storybrooke a lie or could they consider the past twenty-eight years to be . . . well, real?

the beauty couldn't help but laugh softly at the question, and she lightly shook her head. " i'm afraid not. i thought this town was old and sleepy, but it's more lively down there then it's been in twenty-eight years. " she said, trying to lighten the mood.

then, aurora fell silent. violet hues aimed out on the small town before them — on the clock tower, that now ticked and tocked like she had never seen before. how strange. " everyone's in such a panic, trying to find loved ones. people are missing . . . " a heavy sigh passed her rosy lips, " 'kind of makes me miss how boring town was just yesterday. "

her gaze shifted to look at the girl beside her. " and you? are you doing okay? " she asked. aurora had no idea what memories could have come flooding back for her friend, some people had nothing but good and happiness return — others, like herself, had trauma they had not faced in nearly three decades.
