it’s still Wednesday for me, so I’m not late. beginning one of two New Vegas chapters, some things referenced in some previous chapters now on display. Will definitely get a wip out again when a certain Courier enters.

3. Photoshop is crazy expensive now so I use Photopea.com which is an in-browser version, or alternatively there is an app called Superimpose X which is £4.99 on the App Store.

4. To get a blank playing card you can use the photoshop clone stamp tool to cover over the old picture while keeping the background texture: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/using/tool-techniques/clone-stamp-tool.html

5. Cut out your OC picture either with the magic wand tool or auto clipping on Superimpose X.

6. To blend the edges of your character/text set the eraser to brush with a low opacity then go over it.

i wanted to make some cards for Vera, but I figured I'd make some cigarette cards rather than playing cards. made the bases, lost steam, but i figured i would post the bases if anyone wanted to use them.

My turn to make a card! Presenting the courier with a skull harder than rocks, Elias Ables.

I wanted his card to look similar to Benny’s given they’re the two Jokers that the story of New Vegas revolves around. His card back is also vandalized to show Elias’ ending. Based on some cut content and crumbs that got left in, he doesn’t take New Vegas for himself or anyone else. Instead he lets the Followers into the Lucky 38 and assists their goal of helping New Vegas thrive as a functioning city-state.

I’m also just so happy to see this trend pop off. @meatgrinderminefield who kicked it off is a good friend of mine and they deserve good things to happen to them.
