Notes: Three years ago, I started working – with the painfully exquiste Bubug – on “Marching Song,” an illustrated fanfic (like my Running With the Hare and Hunting with the Hound). Alas, after the penultimate chapter, I went through my divorce. And one of the casualties of that event was my desire to write romantic fiction.
I’ve decided to publish Marching Song – in this incomplete form – rather than let it sit mouldering on my hard drive for yet another year. I hope you forgive me for abandoning it. I never wrote the last chapter, but if you read the table of contents, the chapter title should give you an idea of where I was going with the ending :)
I haven't been on Tumblr in ages and this is probably my first post in more than year. I can't wait to read this again with all the illustrations in such gorgeous format. I was stalking the livejournal link like crazy as you were writing it, but at a quick glance, I can spy so many new art pieces. What a special treat!!! I am so glad to see this (I like to think there was a reason I checked in today), and to "hear" from you Kim! I like the open ending. And I can't believe it's been 3 years!!! Thank you so much, Kim! This is a labor of love and how lucky are we to have such generous talent in the fandom. I think of you often and I hope all is good with you...
Last year has been crazy busy and I stayed away from many social platforms. I will try very hard to come back and chat with everyone once again :)
