Summary/snippet: "Hey," Lando said with a smile, loud enough to be heard over the music, while he reached forward with one hand to grab a gentle hold of Oscar's forearm. The touch felt devastatingly intimate somehow, his skin warm and slightly damp from sweat where his fingers rested. "You feeling anything yet?"

Oscar opened his eyes to meet Lando's, pupils impossibly dilated, his lips parted.

"Yeah," he replied, too quiet to be properly heard. Lando was able to rely decently enough on lip reading, thankfully. "Holy shit."

Lando's grin only stretched further. He recognized the look on his face well, but it was certainly warped with something heavier, something looser, more pliant. It was nearly the same look he’d seen Oscar wearing every time he stood at the top of the podium, flushed and at ease and satisfied. A loose smile on his lips, eyelids heavy from exhaustion and something warmer than that, his thoughts clearly occupied by nothing but his own content.

 It’s so stupid, but Oscar has very quickly learned that when it comes to Lando Norris, he just can’t help himself.

It starts off so innocent too, just Lando complaining to Oscar during a particularly grueling weekend early on in the 2023 season, back when the car was still bad bad, that he couldn’t even properly nest because he left all of his stuffed animals at home, and apparently according to Lando, a proper next is not a proper next without at least one cuddly friend or two.

Oscar got him a simple teddy bear, that time. Saw it in the airport and bought it before he even fully realized what he was doing. For a split second he considered shoving it into his bag, pretending it never even happened, but before he could, Lando had already spotted him.

“Bought a friend, Oscar?” Lando had said, cocked head as he eyed the bear with curiosity.

“For you,” his stupid Alpha brain said, thrusting the bear forward before he could stop himself.

“Oh.” Lando’s face had been soft, taken off guard a little bit. “That’s. Thank you.”
