Not That Much... Just Less Than 3

"Scars are ugly! They won’t go away! They’re hideous! I’ll do anything to get rid of them!" But why?

When you’re small, you get them a lot.. Because you’re learning. But at that time, not all scars stay for long. They are there and when you grow, they’re gone…

But what about those that stayed, the big ones. The ones that won’t go away. They’re there till you grow old. They’re there to remind you of your big misfortune.

Some scars came from a fall from your first bicycle ride, some came from a hit by a car and some came from a wound given by others. Some may be memorable while some are traumatizing. But did you ever realize that although they remind you of the bad things that happened, their main purpose is to remind you of the things you’ve learnt from them.

They teach you to be alert, be careful, and be good. They teach you that mistakes don’t need to repeat themselves. That you can make a better choice. But when you grow old, you’ll get more of them, the scars. Because when you’re old, you’ll be forgetful. So they’ll come, and stay longer. Whenever you see them, you’ll remember. But hey, who am I to tell you not to get rid of them… Get a surgery, go buy creams and lotions.. Whatever makes you happy.

All scars may be ugly, but not all are visible. They tell u that you were once hurt. But not all scars heal, especially the ones you can’t see. They’re the invisible scars… Unlike the visible ones, no ointment or plastic surgery can get rid of them.

A broken heart leaves bountiful of scars, but can you see them? No! Can you feel them? Yes… They are there to stay. Some eventually heal, but ever so slower than physical wounds themselves . But can they really heal entirely? At times when you have moved on, and you’ve been reminded of a painful event from the past. Deep down inside, a small scar still lingers. A small pinch to the heart appears.

But what more can you do? Put a plaster on it? It’s still there.. Put some remedy on it? It’s not going to disappear overnight. Give some time to it. Yes.. That will do…
