Enjoy a delicious twist on a classic seafood dish with this Air Fryer Calamari Sandwich. Crispy and tender calamari rings are sandwiched between toasted buns with fresh lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and creamy mayonnaise, creating a flavorful and satisfying meal.
Ingredients: 1 lb calamari rings. 1 cup breadcrumbs. 2 eggs, beaten. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon paprika. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/4 teaspoon onion powder. 4 sandwich buns. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Mayonnaise. Lemon wedges for serving.
Instructions: Get the air fryer ready by heating it up to 375F 190C. Put the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs that have been mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper into three shallow bowls. First, coat the calamari rings in the flour. Next, dip them in the eggs that have been beaten. Finally, cover them with the breadcrumb mixture and press it on gently to stick. Make sure the breaded calamari rings don't touch each other when you put them in the air fryer basket. Air fry the calamari for 8 to 10 minutes, turning it over every so often, until it's golden brown and crispy. Toast the sandwich buns a little while the calamari is cooking. Spread mayonnaise on the toasted buns, then put lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and crispy calamari rings on top of each other to make the sandwiches. Serve the calamari hot with lemon wedges to squeeze over it.

A quick weeknight dinner recipe featuring calamari stir-fried with onions, green onions, soy sauce, and oyster sauce.
Calamari Stir Fry with Onions and Green Onions
These stuffed calamari onigiri combine the crispy texture of fried calamari with the savory goodness of sushi rice, creating a delicious and satisfying snack or appetizer. The filling is seasoned with soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, ginger, and green onions, adding layers of flavor to each bite.
Ingredients: 2 large calamari tubes, cleaned and sliced into rings. 1 cup sushi rice, cooked. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon mirin. 1 tablespoon sesame oil. 1 tablespoon grated ginger. 1 tablespoon chopped green onions. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs. Salt and pepper to taste. Vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix together cooked sushi rice, soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, grated ginger, chopped green onions, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Stuff each calamari ring with the rice mixture, ensuring they are filled but not overflowing. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Carefully place stuffed calamari rings into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the stuffed calamari from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve the stuffed calamari onigiri warm with soy sauce for dipping.
