Not Your Aesthetic

*minor out of context spoilers*

At first, I thought Weiss not having powers was to mirror Batman, which in part it was, but he was a Faunus in thier world, so she should have had something. The scene where she dives off the shipping container shows she doesn't truly need it either. It also showcases that Weiss is powerful with or without powers and makes us remember that. But thats not the point of that. We know she is.

I thought on it some more and realized, her being normal, its probably because of her actual semblance. She's come SO far in summoning now she barely has to think on it, has way more control, she's way faster at it, and I believe its because of the trust and love for her team.

She had no semblance because its tied to her actual family. Its so unique, it belongs to the Schnee family. Its literally inherited. But they're fractured atm, and hated by so many, and Atlas, her home, is gone. She cant connect to her powers because of it. We saw her struggle the whole movie about "who she is" without Atlas. She had to sit there with no power or weapon, and rely on RBY, her actual family. With her seeing they ARE a part of her, and knowing who she is, I believe a power wouldve activated at that realization if they hadnt gone into the fake world.

They both lost hope at the same moment. Thats why Ruby didn't stop her when she chose the Tree.

"Wednesday had woken at that point, realizing the scream was from her own throat. She had been stewing all day, wondering what it had meant. Was it a warning? Or her own insecurities and nerves? She was starting University, and Wednesday wasn’t too happy about it, but it was a necessity of course. She may have been looking a slight bit forward to seeing a certain blue-eyed wolf, even though she would never admit it, even under penalty of death which she usually enjoys, but University was just a step towards her future."

"She reaches the door, which is open, and sees her things set up already. The room isn’t as big as her room at Nevermore, but it is decent, and will serve her needs for the school year. She sees her typewriter sitting on her desk, walking directly to it and excited to finish her latest novel, but she sees movement to her left. She stops and turns, seeing someone sitting on the bed.

“Hi, you must be my roommate Wednesday. I’m October. It’s nice to meet you.”
