Occupation: NYPD Junior Detective, transferred from Homicide to SVU

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology (dual major); currently attending night school at John Jay University, studying for a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology.

Notes:

Avi’s name is pronounced (Ah-Vee)

She was transferred to SVU on the advice of Homicide Captain Andrew James Morris, who says she has a particular interest in helping children from cases of abuse or life or death situations, which makes her a viable SVU detective in his opinion. 

Typically the youngest member in her squad since she joined the force right out of high school, but that doesn’t mean she is one to be underestimated. You’d have to count on two hands the number of times she’s risked her life for victims or for her brothers and sisters in blue.

Avi’s older brother Luke works as a Senior Detective in a Narcotics Division in Pennsylvania, where he lives with his wife Joanna and daughter Amelia.

Her younger sister Lottie passed away when they were children. She is the driving force of both of her siblings.

Facts:

I’ve been writing for around three years now for my other blogs, but I just started college and I had the worst case of writer’s block I’ve ever had so I hope to get back into writing soon!

I’ve been watching Law & Order: SVU for as long as I can remember since it was my grandmother’s favorite show and she looked after me a lot as a kid.

I am going to school for Forensic Psychology (They’re gonna call me “Dr.” instead of “Ms.” or “Mrs.” at my high school reunion in about 20 years, watch!)

So far, my favorite characters are Barba (who deserved better don't @ me) and Carisi ( MY LIL CANNOLI I LOVE HIM SO)
