I don't care how many people see this post, and maybe they won't even see it. I'm here solely to vent and rant about certain individuals who inhabit DC TikTok, namely the Timkon shippers... I basically realized these aren't particularly sane people back in the Twitter days, as soon as Timothy was released from the closet with a "queer" sign on his forehead. Because these individuals started trashing Bernard from the very beginning. They didn't know him or the dynamic of the Timbern relationship; even in the comic about them, they latched onto the frame where Kon was helping Tim stand up. For some reason, they didn't give a shit that Tim didn't give a shit and was fixated on Bernard. Fine, fine. Then I started stumbling across interesting art and sketches of Timothy with Bernard, seemingly doing well, but then it turns out Tim was missing and loving Kon all this time, emotionally cheating on Bernard with the hashtag #Timbern, by the way. What the hell are you on? Do we even read the same comics? Under what circumstances would Timothy even remember Kon, when even being next to that same Kon, Tim couldn't give a shit because the boy saw Bernard in front of him? How strange, right? Why didn't he throw himself into Kon's arms if he misses him so much and can't live without him? You should at least be ashamed to include Bernard in this shenanigans. Writing cheating with a character who would rather cut off his own hand than cheat on Bernard is a very niche hobby for not particularly smart people.
Unwillingness to understand
Do I even need to mention how many times TimK*n shippers have belittled Bernard simply for his existence? How many times have they called him boring simply because they can't open a comic, read a little, and then analyze his personality and what he's all about? Oh, no, that's complicated. Most of them still think Timothy loves coffee and paint him as a twink, when this guy trains almost every day and fights hand-to-hand with local crime bosses. Of course, how can you understand Bernard when you don't see or understand Timothy as a character? You only see fanon Timothy, or small fragments of the canon, and then they change them to suit your own needs. Okay, let's move on. â
â
âTimothy's departure as Robin
âFuck, every single comment from Timk*n shippers, and not just them, to be honest, made my ass ache. The blanket blame is on Bernard, as if he brought Timothy to Bruce and said, "Either you leave here or you get fucked." BUT THAT HAPPENED NOT. Timothy did it on HIS OWN initiative; Bernard NEVER gave him any ultimatums. Never forced him to choose. Bernard wasn't the primary reason, just one of them, and even if he were the primary one. So what? This isn't a 16-17-year-old pubertal ulcer doing all sorts of crazy things, but a 21-year-old, balanced adult who can weigh the risks and the extent of his desires. This is especially true for Timati, with his analytical mind. Timothy turns to Bernard because he doesn't feel alone or inadequate there, but rather, he feels accepted with all his flaws, truly seen and heard, cared for, and not just pretended to be. He chooses this because it means choosing himself. For almost the first time in his life, choosing his feelings, his comfort, his desires, and not someone else's. But no, we'll write that it's wrong that he left because "it wasn't even done for Kon's sake" (direct quote). So, if it had been done for Kon's sake, would everything have been fine and everyone would have been happy? There wouldn't have been any questions about why he did it? What motivated him? Oh, right, I forget, guys like that don't know how to ask questions, sorry.
Falling in love and lack of feelings. â
âAhem, I'm willing to admit that Timothy at least harbored some romantic feelings for Kon, but the superboy himself didn't reciprocate them. Kon's feelings and actions were always friendly, never overstepping the mark; he was incapable of giving Tim what he deserved. He was incapable of appreciating the depth of these feelings, thoughts, and yearnings because of his own sexual orientation. And when you're caught in that emotional vortex for long enough, feeling bad, wanting reciprocity but realizing you can't get what you want, sooner or later you simply fade away. Your feelings fade and leave nothing behind. That's what happened here: Timothy simply moved forward to where he could be reciprocated, where he could love and be loved again, not just dream about it, knowing that fantasy couldn't become reality. And he truly fell in love, was loved, without any "buts." But shippers can't accept that Timothy has truly moved on, that he truly loves Bernard deeply and doesn't need Kon to feel happy, loved, and noticed. When he's around Bernard, he thinks only of him, and even when he's not around, he still thinks about his boyfriend, not his failed love. It's hard to accept, apparently.
In conclusion, many of them are simply living in their house, which burned down long ago, and they can't seem to get out. They need to learn from Timothy how to move on.

Hmm depression
tim has realized the best approach is to not make a big deal out of it like dick does
small bat đŚ
"remind me what a romantic night in gotham city's like again" coupled with the change of clothes, bernard being in boxers, stretching like this, their ruffled hair. this is the closest we will ever get to them hinting at a gay couple fucking in a family friendly main run
Tim abandoned his family for gay sex and itâs awesome he did that. Stay mad.

CROWN - Finn Wolfhard Analysis! (FOAH)
aka the bisexual awakening song hehe
I, like many people who ship foah, have noticed some sus happenings in the lyrics within many of the trackâs on Finn Wolfhardâs debut solo album, Happy Birthday. (Itâs a great album and you should give it a listen even if you donât ship them!) I will be analyzing the final four tracks from the album as I believe they are about Finn & Noahâs relationship!
Check out my thoughts on his other songs!

FIRST OFF - THE PUBLICLY DISCUSSED MEANING OF THE SONG!
click on the image to read the full piece
thereâs a lot more written about this song compared to the others in this article! however, I donât believe this song is entirely what they say it is⌠although there are elements of childhood, I believe this song has already let childhood go and itâs about leaving that behind. I believe it is about Finn and Noah kissing for the first time đ I could be entirely wrong but please go ahead and read my analysis below!
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU LISTEN ALONG TO THE SONG! My thoughts are a litttttle jumbled and the guitar does a lot of emotional lifting in this song, so it helps to listen to truly get the hidden meanings! :) also please comment your thoughts and any more ideas you have about the song!! foahs unite
AS ALWAYS DO NOT SHARE WITH THE INDIVIDUALS DISCUSSED OR ANY PEOPLE THEY KNOW IN THEIR REAL LIVES! I AM MAKING THIS ANALYSIS FOR FUN AND I KEEP MY SHIPPING EXCLUSIVELY TO TUMBLR. you should too btw its way better over here anyway

Don't be (too) sad Jonjay nation.
I promise you, every iconic OTP you now see happily married together went through stuff like this. A lot of you are just first seeing it happen to your guys in real time, but you'll find that an average long-running superhero couple tried to murder each other at least once back in the 90s.
This scene made me uncomfortable. I know here that Jay was doing his best to maneuver Jon away from Nia, both to keep him safe from whatever consequences Nia's decisions would likely unleash, and also because he suspects (correctly) that Nia has feelings for Jon, but the way he went about it just felt so... controlling.
Look at those last few panels. He's not even giving Jon a chance to process what just happened. Instead, he cuts him off with a kiss. Almost like he's rewarding Jon for following him. That, coupled with the look in Jon's eyes in the last panel are honestly what troubled me the most about this page.
That isn't a young man who is smitten by a sudden kiss from his boyfriend. That's the look of some who is dying a little on the inside and wondering how in the hell he ended up in this position.
But if anyone has another take on this particular page I'd love to hear it. Right now it just feels kinda scummy to me.
Okay I think it's really uncharitable and an exaggeration to say Jay is controlling and scummy when he's acting like a teenager who's seeing his boyfriend upset, but also recognizing that his ex-friend is into his boyfriend. Like Nia did way, way worse when she accidentally influenced Jon's thoughts when she went into his head, and she's been doing worse to Jay starting from Absolute Power.
Jay has been begging Jon to realize that Nia has been complicit in colonizing his country and was directly involved in him getting shot and imprisoned but Jon has refused to properly empathize with Jay on this. And at last, Jon does realize the extents to which Nia would go to "fix" her own mistakes (brainwashing Waller plotting to kill her and complicating Jay's life even further by asking him to get involved in a plan like that).
So, after like two issues of JayJon being at the brink and fighting, Jon FINALLY sees what Jay sees. Like of course he's gonna kiss him. And Jon's clearly deeply upset, so he pulls him out of the situation. Was it the most perfect way to do it? No. But everyone in this situation are 18-19 yr old teenagers. They're not always gonna take the most stellar paths.
Like in isolation this is not a big deal. Jay's kissing his boyfriend. And in the next pages with JayJon they seem pretty happy together. Like Jon is clearly very, very ready to oppose Jay as we've seen in previous issues. He's combative, argumentative, and asserts himself with ease over Jay.
Saying Jon's being "controlled" or this move was scummy and implying the kiss was something in which Jon wasn't a willing participant when Lori just established that Jon is an extremely privileged and powerful guy is kinda.......like let's thinks about that. Why are we so quick to assume Jon has no autonomy here when he was like this in issue 1?
Like if I take these out of their context, it makes Jon look like a highly controlling boyfriend. I mean he's telling Jay to "stop it". He's using super-speed to get in front of him. He's sneaking around to see what Jay's doing on his laptop. It's a disservice to call Jay "scummy" and use such strong language when they're just being.....insecure, traumatized teenagers seeking assurance.
