It’s surprising that SM Entertainment still had the guts to revive this very biased project for trainees mid last year.

In this regard, we will continue to update all about SMROOKIES. We will be posting the three trainees (SHOHEI, EUNSEOK, and SEUNGHAN) once they made their debut in NCT.

Hopefully, this project revival would get rid of the bias and discrimination that SM has done upon its trainees in the past.

YUTA (2013–2016), Japan

- introduced on December 24, 2013 - debuted as a member of NCT, 2016.

YIYANG (2016–2018), China

- introduced on September 19, 2016 - slated to debut, but left SM Entertainment in 2018.

YERI (2014–2015), South Korea

- introduced on March 11, 2015, but first activity as an SMROOKIES member dates back to 2014 (introduced as New Rookie of SR14G, performed in SMTOWN Live World Tour IV). - debuted as a member of Red Velvet, 2015.

YANGYANG (2018), Germany

- introduced on July 17, 2018 - debuted as a member of WayV, 2019, joined NCT in 2020.

XIAOJUN (2018), China

- introduced on July 17, 2018 - debuted as a member of WayV, 2019, joined NCT in 2020.

WINWIN (2016), China

- introduced on January 5, 2016 - debuted as a member of NCT, 2016.

WENDY (2014), South Korea

- introduced on March 14, 2014 - debuted as a member of Red Velvet, 2014.

TEN (2013–2016), Thailand

- introduced on December 24, 2013 - debuted as a member of NCT, 2016.

TAEYONG (2013–2016), South Korea

- introduced on December 3, 2013 - debuted as a member of NCT, 2016.

TAEIL (2013–2016), South Korea

SEULGI (2013–2014), South Korea

- introduced on December 3, 2013 - debuted as a member of Red Velvet, 2014.

- introduced on December 17, 2013 - debuted as a member of NCT, 2016.

LUCAS (2017–2018), China (Hong Kong)

- introduced on April 6, 2017 - debuted as a member of NCT, 2018.

- left NCT and WayV in 2023.

LAMI (2013–2020), South Korea

- introduced on December 9, 2013 - slated to debut, but left SM Entertainment in 2020.

- returned to SM Entertainment in 2022 and debuted as an actress in 2023.
