yes im a hater no not all fun is created equal

like sure. you can play dolls however you want. no amount of elitism concentrated in my little hater body can give me the power to reach through the screen and smack you around for stupid tweets. but what im really getting at is that if you refuse to engage with the basic themes and storytelling elements of something, give absolutely no thought to why things are done they way they are, construct your understanding of the source text and all your cute little headcanons from Vibes and your mutual echo circle’s thoughts alone, you forfeit the expectation to be taken seriously. no one can stop you from doing all that, but you need to remember that people who are actually engaging with the reality of the text do not owe it to you to hear you out about how actually the story would be so much better if the fate of every character was determined by how much you personally like them or some shit.
