I hate how many people believe and act like all families are equal. That all mothers, fathers, cousins, aunts, uncles and siblings are good for you or should be tolerated just because of their association with you. Grandparents too!! Don’t ever feel obligated to love a shitty grandparent just bc they’re old and that’s “just how they are” or just cuz u always get this cuddly heartwarming impression of what a grandparent/grandchild relationship should be and you feel like you have to feel that way too!!!
