I’ve been playing in my medieval save a bit recently, and cottage living has added so much to the gameplay, including this incredible world. But there are a bunch of really modern objects cluttering the landscape here and there, from telephone poles to trucks and tractors. In the past, I’ve used mods like @pandorasimbox’s Timeless mod to get around this, but unfortunately it hasn’t been updated for cottage living.

So after stumbling across Plasticbox’s empty props mod on MTS and realizing I could create a quick stop-gap solution for this using the method from those files, went ahead and did this.

With this mod you can stop the following debug world items from appearing around Henford-on-Bagley:

Static vehicles (tractors, farm trucks, SUVs, small cars, and double decker buses)

Street lights (not lanterns)

Fire hydrants and post boxes

Telephone poles and phone booths

Note: these objects will not be available from debug either, since I’ve replaced the object footprints and models with null values. Although, if there are versions of these objects in standard build/buy, they may still be available for purchase and use there.

As the newlyweds grew accustomed to the new city, Adaline focused on taking care of their home.

Naveen searched high and low for work, eventually settling in as a gravedigger. It was not glamorous, but it was honest.

Still, the couple struggled. With Naveen's consent, Adaline had been sending a large portion of his pay back to her parents, in an effort to care for her father and earn their forgiveness.

Adaline knew that despite her happiness, she had broken their hearts.

No matter how many letters she wrote, they had yet to write back.

One evening, during dinner, Naveen became unusually serious: with how much they had been sending to the Parlows, the couple lacked the funds to be truly secure.

Gently, Naveen pressed: would Adaline be willing to find work?

As a woman without an education, Adaline's options were fairly limited, but she knew of two potential opportunities.

The first was taking a position as a housemaid in the home of Mrs. Anne Carnall, an aged widow, who, if rumours were true, had a wicked temper.

Still, she allegedly paid very well, enough so that her staff rarely resigned. But was Adaline willing to deal with such a negative person?

The second opportunity was to work for the local baker, Mr. Kadir Mousavi. Adaline knew very little about him, but what little she did know was that he was a good, if lonely, older gentleman.

It was more than likely that working for Mr. Mousavi would be enjoyable--however, the pay was substantially lower than that of Mrs. Carnall's.

It was a difficult choice for Adaline, but one thing she knew was certain: Naveen would support her regardless.

Earth Angel | A Late 1950s Party Dress

NEW MESH! A simple special occasion dress for all of your formal needs - whether that be the prom or your next cocktail party! Named after The Penguins’ “Earth Angel,” this pseudo-tulle dress (I tried) was supposed to be released as my December patrons’ pick last month, but life got incredibly busy and I had very little time to work out the kinks then. Because the original skirt I had in mind refused to cooperate, I reshaped the skirt from my Little Darlin’ dress and stuck it on there! The weights are still not perfect, but it works (!) and shouldn’t be too distracting in game. I just have neither the time nor the skills to perfect this dress!

Adaline Parlow and Naveen Ghoshal wedded in a quiet ceremony.

The couple was lucky, in a sense: Pastor Arnold Bennett was close to the two, having married Adaline's friend Lera two years ago. He, Lera, and Adaline's other close friend Lottie could be trusted to keep the two's wedding a secret, at least until they were ready.

And with that, the two left Henford, headed to the city of Windenburg to begin their lives together.
