Q: How’s your reading going so far this month?? And how’s your Goodreads/yearly challenge goal going?? … Happy Sunday, Bookworms. Are you all having a good weekend? I hope that you are. 🥰 I am not at all ready for mine to end, even though it’s not going at all how I had hoped. I didn’t have time to do a Sock Sunday photo for today, so here’s a shelfie instead. 🙃 I’ve been working to rearrange my bookshelves for over a week now, and I’m still not finished. BUT, I did get this shelf the way I wanted it, and I love the way it turned out. I’m so happy to have the *Remnant Chronicles* series front and center again! 🥰 … Sooooo… How’s everyone doing with their reading for June?? I have started quite a few books, but have yet to finish any of them. So I’ve read 0 books so far this month. 😅 As for my Goodreads goal, I’m currently 24 books behind schedule. 🙈 So yeah, I’m not doing very well this month at all. BUT, there’s still time to catch up, so fingers crossed that I can do just that. 🥰 What about you guys? Visited Sterling Books in Brussels today for the first time and it was such a cute and beautiful bookstore! They had so many nice books and I’ll definitely visit again when I’m in Brussels again ☺️

These are a few of mine and I hope you'll give them a try, because these stories are absolutely beautiful. This is the time to boost black voices, listen and learn. Do better, check our privilege and understand that we may never understand the scope of the struggles that black people are facing. But we can do our part. I stand with you. ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

But she wondered why beautiful things had to be wrapped up with evil history. Or was it the other way around? Maybe the evil history made it necessary to build beautiful things, to mask the darker aspects.
