This is of course correct. To me, a big part of the horror of Alien 1979 was finding out that Ash is filled with inexplicable orbs and milk. Ian Holm didn’t enjoy it, and lemme tell you I don’t like it either.

I AM doing a bit here, because the “wet synth vs dry synth” distinction amused me, but at the same time it really is true that as a humanoid objectum enjoyer (android robophilia I suppose) these milky freaks are a challenge for me. You can really lean into the robot gore with the synthetics from the alien franchise. None of that wire pulling fetish business going on here, no. Wet, disgusting, borderline organic, entirely alien.

In terms of practical effects, the amount of perishable food items that were used creatively in Alien and Aliens, especially the former, is just so very bad to think about.

I just wanted to share my favorite Alientober (which i am still doing, just not sharing haha)
